NTPC Bongaigaon celebrated the organisation’s 51st Raising Day, coinciding with NTPC’s Golden Jubilee, with great zeal at its Administrative Building. The event brought together employees, their families, and members of the local community, reflecting the spirit of unity and progress. The celebration began with the unfurling of the NTPC flag by Shri Arnab Maitra, Head of Project, followed by a ceremonial cake cutting and the release of NTPC-themed balloons symbolising the company’s remarkable journey since its inception in 1975.

Addressing the gathering, Shri Arnab Maitra highlighted NTPC’s growth from its first project at Singrauli to becoming India’s largest integrated power producer with over 84 GW of installed capacity. He lauded NTPC Bongaigaon’s contribution of 750 MW to the North Eastern region and its operational excellence with a Declared Capacity of 98.61%. The event also saw the presence of senior officials and dignitaries, including Shri Anurag Gupta, GM (O&M), and Smt. Kasturi Maitra, President, Bardwi Shikla Ladies Club. Six employees were felicitated with Power Excel Awards for exemplary performance, while four Master Trainers under the Rastriya KarmYogi Training Programme were honoured for promoting learning and development within the organisation. Celebrating Legacy, Sustainability, and Patriotism

The celebrations featured a rendition of “Vande Mataram” to mark 150 years of the iconic song, adding patriotic fervour to the occasion. A Walkathon was also organised to promote fitness and community bonding, along with a plantation drive in which over 2,000 saplings were planted under the coordination of the Environment Monitoring Group. The event underscored NTPC’s commitment to sustainability, community welfare, and its vision of achieving 150 GW capacity by 2032 through a diversified energy mix. The 51st Raising Day reaffirmed NTPC’s enduring legacy and its mission to build a sustainable and energy-secure India.
