NLC India Limited (NLCIL) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with IIT Madras for joint research and development on Carbon Capture Systems (CCS). The agreement was signed at IIT Madras in Chennai in the presence of Prasanna Kumar Motupalli, Chairman and Managing Director of NLCIL; Dr. V. Kamakoti, Director of IIT Madras; and M. Venkatachalam, Director (Power) of NLCIL. This partnership underscores NLCIL’s commitment to promoting sustainable power generation, especially in the thermal sector. The collaboration aims to develop laboratory-scale carbon capture technologies with the possibility of scaling up to pilot projects at NLCIL’s thermal power plants.
