AbhiBus Enables Bookings for India’s First Women-only Intercity Bus Service

Bengaluru, 7th March 2025: AbhiBus (ixigo bus business), India’s leading bus ticketing platform, is now facilitating bookings for India’s first women-only intercity bus service, launched by YoloBus. The YoloBus service, exclusive for women, will operate on the Gurgaon-Chandigarh route starting 8th March.

Launching on International Women’s Day, YoloBus aims to offer a safer and more convenient travel experience for female passengers, with a female conductor onboard to provide added assistance and comfort.

Speaking on this, Rohit Sharma, COO, AbhiBus, added, “At AbhiBus, we are committed to making bus travel safer and more convenient for women. Over the last three months, we have seen a 54% YoY increase in bookings by female travellers, with solo female traveller bookings up by 50% YoY. The launch of the women-only YoloBus service aligns with our ongoing efforts to empower female travellers, including our Pink Seat feature, which reserves dedicated seats for women across multiple routes.”

Sanjay Jadoun, CEO, YoloBus, said, “The safety and comfort of women travellers have always been a priority for us. Launching this service on Women’s Day is our way of celebrating and empowering female travellers with a more secure and reliable intercity travel option. Through AbhiBus, women can easily access this service and book their journeys seamlessly on the platform. We believe this initiative will set a new benchmark in intercity travel.”
