More than 250 Contract workers of  Blast Furnace Area  benefit from the Health Check-up Camp organized at SAIL, RSP            

268 Contract workers engaged in Blast Furnace Department of SAIL,  Rourkela Steel Plant (RSP) were benefited from the  Periodic Health Check-up Camp held at the departmental Conference Hall on 9th August 2024. The camp was conducted by HR –Contract Labour Cell with the help of ESI Model Hospital and IGH (OHSC). Doctors and Technicians from ESI Corporation & Ispat General Hospital (OHSC) conducted the health check-up activities.

Mr. Sumeet Kumar, CGM (Blast Furnace) and other senior officers were also present during the program. Mr. G R Dash, GM (HR-CLC & Projects)  explained the functioning of the camp to them.

Speaking on the occasion Mr. Sumeet Kumar appreciated the initiative and highlighted the importance of Health Check-up Camps for keeping the workforce healthy for         greater productivity and performance.

Various tests like Body Mass Index, Height, Weight, Vision Test (Eye), Blood Pressure, Random Blood Sugar, Grouping and general check up like hearing and pulse rate etc were conducted to help find and prevent the impact of diseases and keep the manpower healthy and fit for optimum performance. The identified patients were also given medicines free of cost. Awareness programme was also conducted among the contract labour regarding health concerns and to motivate them for regular health check-up.  The event was coordinated by Ms. Sangeeta M Sindur, Senior Manager (HR- CLC) and CLC Collective.
