The Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) has suspended the approval for Air India’s Mumbai Aviation Training Organisation, which houses simulators for Boeing 777, 787, and 737 pilots. The suspension will affect the training of pilots for Air India’s fleet, which primarily operates to Europe and North America. During a routine inspection, DGCA auditors found that the approval for the facility’s quality manual had expired and that no Quality Control Officer had been appointed.
