A 700 kW solar power project developed by NHPC REL was inaugurated at the Central University of Rajasthan (CURAJ) in Ajmer recentlly. The ceremony was graced by the Governor of Rajasthan, Shri Haribhau Bagade, and attended by notable dignitaries including Shri Prof. Anand Bhalerao, Vice Chancellor of CURAJ; Shri V.R. Shrivastava, Executive Director – REGH, NHPC; Shri S.P. Rathour, CEO of NHPC REL; and Shri Mahesh Kumar Sharma, CFO of NHPC REL.
This project represents an innovative approach to solar power development, utilizing vacant land at educational institutions to reduce energy demand from the grid. The initiative is aimed at promoting a sustainable and eco-friendly future, aligning with broader goals of renewable energy adoption in India.
