The 56th Raising Day of CISF was celebrated by the CISF Unit of SAIL, Rourkela Steel Plant (RSP) in its campus on 10th March 2025. Mr. Alok Verma, Director In-Charge, RSP was the Chief Guest on the occasion. He inspected the ceremonial parade by the CISF personnel and took the salute. Mr. Ratan Kumar, DIG, CISF was present on the dais on the occasion. The programme was attended by Mr. Tarun Misra, ED (HR), Mr. M P Singh, CGM (Mines), Mr. Sudip Pal Chowdhury, ED (Projects), Mr. Ashok Jalwania, Senior Commandant, CISF, Senior Officers of RSP and CSIF and a large number of CISF personnel of RSP unit.
Congratulating the CISF personnel on this momentous occasion, Mr. Verma lauded their pivotal role in ensuring the security of industries and other critical installations across the nation. He highlighted the elite force’s diverse responsibilities, including safeguarding nuclear installations, space establishments, airports, seaports, power plants, sensitive government buildings, and heritage monuments. Acknowledging the RSP CISF unit as an integral part of the extended RSP family, he urged its members to work in unison with the steel plant collective to achieve the organization’s goals. He also assured full support in further strengthening the CISF unit’s activities.
In his welcome address, Mr. Ratan Kumar underscored the achievements of CISF and outlined its future plans to tackle emerging challenges. He also commended the RSP management for its unwavering support in ensuring effective and efficient plant security. Mr. Kumar also felicitated Mr. Verma on this occasion.Various activities performed in the parade by specially trained CISF Dog Squad was another attraction of the programme. .
The programme concluded with a formal vote of thanks proposed by Mr. Ashok Jalwania.
