Currently, there are 36 Flying Training Organizations (FTOs) in the country operating at 57 bases, which are imparting flying training to cadets. DGCA modified its regulations to empower Flying Instructors with the right to authorise flight operations at FTOs. This will help increase the flying hours and aircraft utilisation at each FTO and lead to faster completion of the CPL requirements.
Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) issued a record 1165 Commercial Pilot Licenses (CPLs) to cater to the requirement of the industry.
