NTPC Bongaigaon marked World No-Tobacco Day with a series of impactful awareness and sensitization activities aimed at promoting a tobacco-free lifestyle among employees, students, and the community. The day began with pledge-taking ceremonies led by Shri Arnab Maitra, Head of Project, and Shri Debabrata Kar, GM (O&M), followed by enthusiastic participation in signature campaigns. Educational sessions were conducted by Dr. Deepayan Paul and his team for students of Notre Dame Academy, and by Dr. Wasim from Assam Cancer Care Foundation for CISF personnel and hospital staff, highlighting the health risks of tobacco use and strategies for prevention. Over 200 individuals took part in the initiative, reflecting NTPC Bongaigaon’s strong commitment to health, wellness, and a tobacco-free environment.
