Faridabad: India celebrated its 74th Republic Day today with great enthusiasm. Keeping the patriotic spirit high, World Street by Omaxe in Faridabad organised a celebratory event. With the theme of ‘Har koi chief guest’, the celebration began with a flag unfurling ceremony which was done by World Street retailers, dealers, and employees.
The parade performance by an Army pipe band from Punjab set the spirit high. A special performance by the kids and House of Dance Troupe was an attraction amongst people and visitors. The performance of the cultural and patriotic songs displayed India’s richness in its tradition and cultural values.
The event witnessed overwhelming participation from all retailers and visitors at the mall. Approx. 513 people gathered to celebrate. The event witnessed people across age groups volunteering in singing patriotic songs and reciting poems to show their love and respect for the country.
World Street was decorated in tricolor infusing the patriotic vibes around. Post-event, the brunch was organised for people at the event. The mall witnessed high footfall and people stepped out with their friends and family to enjoy the Republic Day celebration.
Republic Day is one of the significant national festivals in India. It marks the celebration of the adoption of the Constitution of India on January 26, 1950.
