A ‘Steel Business Simulation-based Executive Training Program’ was organised for middle and senior management executives at Learning and Development Department of SAIL, Rourkela Steel Plant from 11th to 13th September. The three-day program, conducted in collaboration with M/s Biziga Solutions Pvt. Ltd., New Delhi, saw participation from 90 executives, divided into three batches of 30 participants each.The Program aimed at enhancing business acumen in the steel industry.
The training program focused on key managerial skills, such as understanding the financial impact of decisions, breaking functional silos, and developing an appreciation of competitive strategy. The target audience comprised middle and senior management executives, ensuring that decision-makers across departments received practical insights.
Each day’s session consisted of five simulation rounds, followed by debrief sessions to discuss important concepts and evaluate participants’ performance. These sessions were designed to help participants apply their learning in a steel-specific context, reflecting real-world market trends, resource management, and production planning challenges.
