The DMRC has removed the driver's cabin from all 29 trains to create more space for the passengers

The Magenta Line of the Delhi Metro, connecting Noida’s Botanical Garden to Janakpuri West, has become India’s first fully unmanned train network. The DMRC has removed the driver’s cabins from all 29 trains on this line to create more space for passengers. Currently, attendants are present every three to four trains, but they will be phased out. Similar steps will be taken on the Pink Line, connecting Majlis Park to Shiv Vihar. The automated network spans 97 kilometers across both lines. DMRC Chairman Vikas Kumar said, “With the experience from these two lines, we will implement this in Phase IV. For driverless operations, we have installed a track monitoring system with cameras.” The driverless facility was first launched in December 2020.
