The programme was presided over by Dr. Jayant Acharya, CMO In-charge (Medical). Also present on the dais were Dr. R. R. Mohanty, CMO (Medical) and Dr. P. K. Mohapatra, Specialist Consultant (M&HS). The session witnessed the participation of around 80 individuals, including doctors, nurses, IGH staff and students from the Nursing Training Institute.

Dr. Asit Xess, Consultant (Medical), delivered the keynote address, elaborating on this year’s theme “WHO SAVE LIVES: Clean Your Hands”. His talk emphasized the importance of proper hand hygiene practices among healthcare workers to reduce healthcare-associated infections and promote patient safety.

An on-the-spot quiz was also conducted to engage the audience and reinforce key messages of the day.

Dr. Sravan Kumar, Consultant (Medical) welcomed the gathering and coordinated the event.
