As part of the Government of India’s Initiative “Swachhta Hi Seva – Swatchhotsava 2025”, WAPCOS Limited organised a Health Check-up Camp (Safai Mitra Suraksha Shivir) at its Corporate Office, Gurgaon.More than 50 Safai Mitra benefited from the initiative, availing free consultation, medicines, pathological tests, and other health services.

This initiative reflects our continued commitment towards the well-being of our employees and spreading the message of cleanliness, care, and good health.

IAS officer Shilpa Shinde appointed new CMD of WAPCOS

Govt of India has appointed a 2006-batch IAS officer Ms Shilpa Sachin Shinde, a UT-cadre IAS officer, as the CMD of WAPCOS for five years. So far, the CMD of WAPCOS was selected by the Public Enterprises Selection Board (PESB), and then approved by the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC). However, the Jal Shakti Ministry is learnt to have moved a proposal of appointment of the WAPCOS CMD by the ACC directly.

WAPCOS Honored with World Water Award for Best Consultancy in Water Sector

The award was presented by Raj Bhushan Choudhary, Union Minister of State, Ministry of Jal Shakti, Government of India, at a ceremony organised by Water Digest and supported by UNESCO.

This recognition underscores WAPCOS’ commitment to delivering excellence in engineering consultancy, particularly in water management, under the leadership of R.K. Agrawal, CMD, WAPCOS.

The award was received by Amitabh Tripathi, Director; Sanjay Sharma, Senior General Manager; and Sumir Chawla, Head (Corporate Communications), WAPCOS.

Innovative solutions — from technology-driven strategies to community-led initiatives — were discussed, all aimed at conserving and sustaining our precious water resources.

WAPCOS CMD discussed ongoing projects in Bhutan

Mr. R. K. Agrawal, CMD, WAPCOS called on H.E. Lyonpo Gem Tshering, Minister of Energy and Natural Resources (MoENR), Royal Government of Bhutan and Dasho Chhewang Rinzin, Managing Director, Druk Green Power Corporation Limited, Bhutan in New Delhi.

During the meeting, discussions were held regarding WAPCOS ongoing projects in Bhutan. Newly released Coffee Table Book “WAPCOS @55 & beyond…” was also presented to Hon’ble Minister.

From the Royal Government of Bhutan, Karma Tshering, Secretary, MoENR; Karma Penjor Dorji, Director, Department of Energy, MoENR and from WAPCOS, Mr. Anupam Mishra, Director (C&HRD) were also present.
