Balasubramiam, Member (HR), emphasised a shift from checklist-based compliance to “quality by design,” integrating learning outcomes, competencies and real-world role requirements into course creation. Smt. Chhavi Bhardwaj, CEO, Karmayogi Bharat, provided an overview of iGOT content and emerging challenges, stressing alignment with the Karmayogi Competency Model and user needs across services and roles.

The workshop featured expert sessions, breakout discussions and consultations with Training Institutions, Ministries, Knowledge Partners and users to identify gaps, define measurable quality indicators and propose governance mechanisms for continuous review. Concluding the event, Shri Adil Zainulbhai, former Chairperson, CBC, emphasised sustained collaboration for evolving quality assurance, while Shri Shyama Prasad Roy, Secretary, CBC, announced the formation of four working groups to strengthen the Karmayogi Quality Framework, marking a significant step in advancing digital capacity building.

The workshop featured a detailed presentation by Ms. Chandralekha Mukherjee, Principal Advisor to CBC, who shared that five CTIs are now rated as 5-star institutions under the NSCSTI 2.0 framework. She emphasized that the focus has shifted beyond ratings towards establishing Centres of Excellence, competency-driven training, and citizen-centric outcomes. Addressing virtually, former CBC Chairman Sh. Adil Zainulbhai stressed that CTIs should aspire to become world-class, five-star rated training institutions, fostering collaboration among themselves, educational institutes, and think tanks, while leading the integration of physical and digital training ecosystems.

Key features of the workshop included three parallel breakout sessions dedicated to critical aspects of future readiness, such as building excellence through roles and responsibilities, strengthening the NSCSTI framework, resource pooling, and enhancing courses via AI tools. The sessions, moderated by senior faculty and CBC advisors, culminated in actionable recommendations presented to all participants. Dr. Alka Mittal, Member (Admin) of CBC, praised the active engagement of all groups and urged institutes to not only sustain standards but also serve as mentors. S. P. Roy, Secretary of CBC, reaffirmed the commitment to support CTIs in becoming agile, technologically advanced, and future-ready institutions under the Make in India initiative.
