]]> Surjeet Mishra, executive director (projects) of Iisco Steel Plant (ISP) in Burnpur has been appointed as the full time director in-charge of Iisco Steel Plant (ISP), Burnpur and Durgapur Steel Plant (DSP) of Sail on Monday. Udyog Bhawan in New Delhi has issued a notification appointing him as the new DIC of ISP and DSP. His appointment has come at a time when Iisco Steel Plant in Burnpur is undergoing a massive Rs 45,000 crore expansion project, the highest ever single central government investment in West Bengal.

]]> Shri Sandeep Poundrik has today assumed charge as Secretary, Ministry of Steel, at Udyog Bhawan. He is a 1993-batch IAS officer from Bihar cadre. Upon his assumption of charge, he was welcomed by senior officers of the Ministry.

Shri Poundrik was holding the charge of Additional Chief Secretary in the Industries Department and also held additional charges of several other positions in the Government of Bihar.  He had previously served as an Advisor in the National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) under the Ministry of Home Affairs and as Joint Secretary in the Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas.
