Passengers from European or Middle East nations will be sent to 14-day institutional quarantine, and all others must home-isolate for a similar period, the state government said Monday evening.

Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation Commissioner told newsmantra  that around 1,000 people are expected to arrive in five flights landing till midnight December 22, when the centre’s ban on incoming flights from the UK takes effect.

Meanwhile, during the period of the night curfew, essential services, like supply of vegetables and milk, will remain unaffected. However, no more than five people can assemble at a given place in this time.

In a statement chief minister Uddhav Thakrey said  it has also been decided to put in institutional quarantine for 14 days those who arrive at the state’s airports from European and West Asian countries.

Passengers coming to Maharashtra, the state worst-hit by COVID-19, from other countries will be home quarantined, it added.

“As a precaution, Maharashtra government has imposed night curfew till January 5, 2021. After that, a review meeting will be called and further decisions will be taken,” Thackeray said.

“The fliers will undergo 14-day compulsory quarantine. The RT PCR test will be done on the fifth or seventh day of their quarantine period. After completing the quarantine period, they will be allowed to go home. In case the new virus strain is detected in a flyer, she/she hospitalised for treatment,” said Health Minister Rajesh Tope.

Thackeray said he would call the meeting of municipal commissioners and district collectors to implement the night curfew properly and ensure that the new Covid-19 virus strain is kept under control in the state.

HREE more persons testing positive for novel Coronavirus (COVID 2019) in Mumbai, Thane and Pune, the number of positive cases in Maharashtra rose to 14 on Thursday.

This comes on a day when the Uddhav Thackeray government issued an advisory directing that all public functions, tours, drives and administrative programmes be called off in the wake of the spread of COVID 2019. It also announced that strict action will be against those who do not follow the instructions.

State Health Minister Rajesh Tope told mediapersons that of the three cases, the condition of a 64-year-old man who had returned to Mumbai from Dubai on March 8 was serious. Two days later, he was admitted to a private hospital for an existing heart condition. His samples were sent to Kasturba hospital, where they tested positive on Thursday evening.

ठाकरे परिवार में हमेशा से ही महिलाओं का दबदबा रहा है . ये ठाकरे परिवार की परंपरा भी है कि हर बडे फैसले में परिवार की महिला की राय अहम होती है. शिवसेना प्रमुख बालासाहेब ठाकरे भले ही कितने बडे थे लेकिन हर बडे फैसले में मां साहेब मीना ताई ठाकरे का ही अंतिम फैसला होता था . उदधव भी इसी तरह अपनी पत्नी के कायल है.

दो बेटों आदित्य और तेजस की मां रश्मि का मायके का सरनेम पाटणकर है और वो एक ब्राहमण परिवार से हैं. 13 दिसंबर 1998 को उदधव के साथ विवाह सूत्र में बंधने वाली रश्मि ने शुरुआत में खुद को पूरी तरह से पारिवारिक ही रखा . बालासाहेब ठाकरे की तबियत बिगडने के साथ ही वो उनकी देखभाल की पूरी जिम्मेदारी संभालने लगी और धीऱे धीरे राजनीतिक तौर पर शिवसेना की महिला विंग को भी देखने लगी . जब परिवार में राज और उदधव ठाकरे का झगडा सामने आया तो ससुर बालासाहेब को समझाने वाली भी वहीं थी . वो हमेशा उदधव के साथ साये की तरह रहती है.

बालासाहेब के बाद जब उदधव ने पार्टी की कमान संभाली तो रश्मि खुलकर सामने आयी . कई बार वो महिला विंग के कार्यक्रम में भाषण भी देने लगी . हालांकि जब भी शिवसेना का कोई बडा कार्यक्रम होता तो स्टेज के सामने कार्यकर्ताओं के साथ बैठती. कार्यकर्ता उनको वहिनी साहेब कहते है.

धीरे धीरे मातोश्री के अंदर रश्मि का पूरा दबदबा हो गया . वो उदधव के कई राजनैतिक फैसलों को बदलने में कामयाब रही है . उदधव के पीए मिलिंद नार्वेकर भी पूरी तरह से वहिनी साहेब के हर काम को करने के लिए तैयार रहते है. सूत्र बताते है कि चुनाव के पहले रश्मि ने ही बेटे आदित्य को चुनाव में उतारने की सलाह दी जो मानी . खुद रशिम ने चुनाव प्रचार की कमान अपने हाथ मे रखी थी .

चुनाव के बाद जब नंबर गेम बदल गया तो उदधव को सीएम पद का दावा करने की सलाह भी रश्मि की थी .पर्दे के पीछे वो सुप्रिया सुले और बाकी नेताओं से बात भी करती रही .आखिर वो मातोश्री की नई मां साहेब बनने में कामयाब रही .
