SCOPE has been strengthening the Public Sector through a dedicated vertical on climate change by collaborating with national and international organizations for creating awareness, building technical capabilities and a deep-rooted ecological conscience across various organizations.

Running from May 16th to May 31st, 2026, this campaign aims to bring the spirit of “Swachh Bharat” into daily life through teamwork. Over the next two weeks, NTPC Bongaigaon will host a variety of activities—including clean-up drives, tree planting, waste management workshops, and awareness campaigns—across the plant, housing colony, local schools, and nearby villages. These efforts highlight NTPC Bongaigaon’s ongoing commitment to protecting the environment and building a cleaner, healthier, and greener India.

During the initiative, 20 Ashoka saplings were planted across the school premises, symbolizing a strong step toward promoting ecological balance and a cleaner, greener tomorrow.

The event reflects PFC’s dedication to the principles of Swachh Bharat and its ongoing efforts to create a more sustainable environment for future generations.

This green initiative was not just a planting drive—it was a pledge for continued environmental stewardship.

This event was organized in the gracious presence of Dr. Bhimaraya Metri, Director, IIM Nagpur, Prof. Prashant Gupta, Dean – Faculty, Academics & Alumni Affairs, IIM Nagpur, and SBI Team members led by Shri Rakesh Kumar Yadav, General Manager, SBI alongside Shri Rajeev Sawrav, DGM, Shri Mrutyunjay Panda, RM of SBI Nagpur Division. The Faculty and Staff members at IIM Nagpur, along with their families and SBI team members from the Bank’s Nagpur Division, actively and wholeheartedly participated in making the event a resounding success.

IIM Nagpur and SBI reiterate their unwavering commitment to environmental stewardship. This drive is a testament to their dedication and aligns with the GoI’s National Forest Policy (2018) and the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

The Office of the Fund Initiatives, Estate Department at IIM Nagpur, in collaboration with the SBI VNIT Branch, Nagpur, coordinated this program. The major highlight was planting over 1500 saplings of native species in the IIM Nagpur Main Campus at Nagpur under this CSR activity.
