रत्नागिरी  मुख्यमंत्री उद्धव ठाकरे ने आज रत्नागिरी में कहा कि चक्रवात से हुए नुकसान की सटीक अनुमान और  पंचनामा पूरा होने दें, गहन समीक्षा की जाएगी और मदद प्रदान की जाएगी, कोई भी वंचित नहीं रहेगा।

मुख्यमंत्री ने बैठक में जिले में चक्रवात से हुए नुकसान की समीक्षा की. इस अवसर पर रत्नागिरी जिला प्रभारी  मंत्री अनिल परब, राहत एवं पुनर्वास मंत्री विजय वडेट्टीवार और उच्च एवं तकनीकी शिक्षा मंत्री एवं सिंधुदुर्ग जिला संरक्षक मंत्री उदय सामंत उपस्थित थे.

चक्रवात से जिले के 5 तालुकाओं में भारी नुकसान हुआ है। सबसे बुरी तरह प्रभावित क्षेत्र राजापुर और रत्नागिरी तालुका हैं। मुख्यमंत्री तूफान प्रभावित दोनों जिलों सिंधुदुर्ग और रत्नागिरी के एक दिवसीय दौरे पर हैं। इसकी शुरुआत रत्नागिरी में एक बैठक से हुई।

चक्रवात ने जिले में आम और काजू और नारियल के बागों को भारी नुकसान पहुंचाया है। इस बैठक के बाद मुख्यमंत्री ने अधिकारियों से बातचीत करते हुए उचित तरीके से पंचनामा  कर उचित आंकड़ों के साथ प्रस्ताव पेश करने के निर्देश दिए.

कोविड समीक्षा

बैठक में जिले के हालात की भी समीक्षा की गई। हम मरीजों को बेहतर इलाज की सुविधा मुहैया करा रहे हैं। साथ ही, उन्होंने कहा, मुख्य रूप से रोगियों से होने वाली मौतों की संख्या को कम करने के प्रयास किए जाने चाहिए।

हालांकि कहा जाता है कि दूसरी लहर के बाद तीसरी लहर आएगी, मुख्यमंत्री ने कहा कि हम उचित सावधानियों और उपायों के साथ यह सुनिश्चित करने की पूरी कोशिश करेंगे कि यह न आए.

इस दौरान जिले में टीकाकरण व अन्य जानकारी दी गई।

भारी क्षति

जिला कलेक्टर लक्ष्मीनारायण मिश्रा ने जिले में हुए नुकसान पर प्रस्तुति दी. चक्रवात ने जिले में दो लोगों की जान ले ली और आठ अन्य घायल हो गए। मृत पशुओं की संख्या 11 है।

जिले में 17 घर पूरी तरह से प्रभावित हुए हैं और आंशिक रूप से प्रभावित घरों की संख्या 6766 है। दापोली में सर्वाधिक संख्या 2235 है। रत्नागिरी तालुका में 1084 और राजपुर में 891 घर क्षतिग्रस्त हुए। जिले में 370 क्षतिग्रस्त गौशाला हैं।

तूफान के कारण 1042 हवा के कारण गिर गए। सबसे ज्यादा 792 पेड़ राजापुर तालुका में गिरे। रत्नागिरी में यह संख्या 250 है।

चक्रवात ने 59 दुकानों और घरों  को क्षतिग्रस्त कर दिया। क्षतिग्रस्त स्कूलों की संख्या 56 है। ये सभी स्कूल राजापुर में हैं।

कृषि

चक्रवात ने बगीचों को व्यापक नुकसान पहुंचाया। लगभग 1100 किसानों को लगभग 2500 हेक्टेयर का नुकसान हुआ। इसमें से अब तक 3430 किसानों के 830.30 हेक्टेयर पंचनामा का काम पूरा हो चुका है।

बिजली

बिजली वितरण कंपनी चक्रवात से सबसे ज्यादा प्रभावित हुई। 1239 गांवों की बिजली आपूर्ति पूरी तरह से ठप हो गई। अब तक 1179 गांवों में आपूर्ति बहाल कर दी गई है।

प्रभावित उपकेन्द्रों की संख्या 55 तथा फीडरों की संख्या 206 है। इसकी मरम्मत भी अब पूरी हो चुकी है। बिजली पोल भी बुरी तरह क्षतिग्रस्त हो गया है। हाई प्रेशर लाइन के 485 पोल प्रभावित हुए और उनमें से 125 पूर्ववत हो गए। गांवों में बिजली के खंभों की संख्या 1233 है। इनमें से अब तक 133 खंभों का निर्माण पूरा हो चुका है।

मछली पकड़ने का व्यवसाय

जिले के तट पर आश्रय लेने वाली नौकाओं में से 3 नावें पूरी तरह क्षतिग्रस्त हो गईं और 65 नौकाएं बुरी तरह क्षतिग्रस्त हो गईं. 71 जाल भी क्षतिग्रस्त हो गए हैं। अनुमानित नुकसान 90 लाख रुपये तक है।

It is very likely to move west-northwestwards and cross Sri Lanka coast between latitude 7.5⁰N and 9.0⁰N, close to Trincomalee during evening/night of 2^nd December as a Cyclonic Storm with a wind speed of 75-85 kmph gusting to 95 kmph. It is very likely to move nearly westwards thereafter, emerge into Gulf of Mannar and adjoining Comorin area on 3^rd December morning. It would then move nearly west-southwestwards and cross south Tamilnadu coast between Kanniyakumari and Pamban around early morning of 4^th December.

Warnings:

(i) Rainfall

• Heavy to very heavy rainfall at a few places with isolated Extremely heavy falls very likely over south Tamilnadu (Kanniyakumari, Tirunelveli, Thoothukudi, Tenkasi, Ramanathapuram and Sivagangai) on 2^nd and 3^rd December, 2020; over south Kerala (Thiruvananthapuram, Kollam, Pathanamthitta and Alappuzah) on 3^rd December and isolated heavy to very heavy rainfall likely over south Tamilnadu on 2^nd & 4^th December 2020 and south Kerala on 3^rd & 4^th December, 2020.
• Heavy to very heavy rainfall at isolated places very likely over north Tamilnadu, Puducherry, Mahe & Karaikal and north Kerala on 2^nd & 3^rd December, isolated heavy rainfall on 4^th December and isolated heavy rainfall over coastal Tamilnadu.
• • • Heavy rainfall at isolated places very likely over south Coastal Andhra Pradesh on 2^nd & 03^rd December and over Lakshadweep on 03^rd & 4^th December, 2020.

  (ii) Wind warning

  • Squally wind speed reaching 60-70 kmph gusting to 80 kmph very likely over southwest and adjoining Southeast Bay of Bengal during next 12 hours.
  • It would gradually increase and becoming 70-80 kmph gusting to 90 kmph over southwest Bay of Bengal, along & off Sri Lanka coast from morning to night of 2^nd December and decrease thereafter.
  • Squally wind speed reaching 45-55 kmph gusting to 65 kmph very likely over Comorin Area, Gulf of Mannar and along and off south Tamilnadu coast (Kanniyakumari, Tirunelveli, Thoothukudi and Ramanathapuram districts) and south Kerala coast (Thiruvananthapuram, Kollam, Pathanamthitta and Alappuzah districts) from 2^nd December forenoon. It will gradually increase becoming 55-65 kmph gusting to 75 kmph from 2^nd December evening and 70-80 kmph gusting to 90 kmph from evening of 3^rd December for subsequent 12 hours and decrease therafter.
  • Squally wind speed reaching 45-55 kmph gusting to 65 kmph very likely over Lakshadweep-Maldives area and adjoining southeast Arabian Sea from 3^rd December morning for next 48 hours.

   (iii) Sea condition

  • Sea conditions is very rough to high over southwest and adjoining Southeast Bay of Bengal and along & off east Sri Lanka coast and the same will continue till night of 2^nd December and gradually improve thereafter.
  • It will be rough to very rough over Comorin Area, Gulf of Mannar & along & off south Tamilnadu-Kerala and west Sri Lanka coast   on 2^nd and very rough to high on 3^rd and 4^th  December.
  • Sea condition will be rough to very rough over Lakshadweep-Maldives area and adjoining southeast Arabian Sea during 3^rd – 4^th December.

The script of a film should move him as an actor, feels Farhan. “Putting this level of effort is only possible, if the story motivates you to give your best. At the end of the day, we’re not making a film to showcase a great physique, but to emotionally engage the audience with the journey of the character. To make that experience believable, all efforts are worth it,” he says.

Farhan has worked hard to ace the look of a professional boxer. However, he has also essayed the role of another sportsperson, sprinter Milkha Singh in Bhaag Milkha Bhaag (2013). So, how was the prepping different this time? “Running and boxing are two extremely different disciplines that bring their own set of challenges,” he explains.

The actor always sports a unique look in each of his films — be it Rock On (2008), Luck by Chance (2009), Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara (2011), Dil Dhadakne Do (2015), Lucknow Central (2017) or last year’s The Sky is Pink. And now even the audience has begun to expect that from him. “It’s strange, but as an actor, you want the audience to have expectations from you, and yet one must try and find a way to surprise them. I feel grateful for all the love and support that I’ve received over the years. It gives me the courage and confidence to follow my heart,” he shares.

Going by his filmography, Farhan has clearly managed to maintain a variety. When asked if it is by plan or luck, the actor says, “The kind of stories you are drawn towards are the stories that somehow find their way to you. There is some kind of serendipity in how this happens.”

Toofan is Farhan’s second collaboration with director Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra after the hit sports biopic, Bhaag Milkha Bhaag (2013). “Toofan is a story that will move and motivate all of us. It’s so much fun to collaborate with Farhan yet again. He does not act the part, but becomes one. I can’t wait to share the film with the audience,” says Mehra.
