चिराग ही नहीं कांग्रेस और आर जे डी भी चुनाव की तारीखों को आगे बढाने की बात कह चुके है. राजनीतिक विश्लेषक सर्वेश तिवारी कहते है कि लोगों की जान बचाना ज्यादा जरुरी है पहले कोरोना का संकट सबसे बड़ा है .राजनीती और सत्ता का मकसद लोगों का भला होना चाहिये . चुनाव से खतरा और बढ सकता है .पहली प्राथमिकता कोरोना को काबू पाना हो बाद में कुछ और ख्याल किया जाये.

रविवार को पहली बार बिहार में एक दिन में सबसे अधिक नए कोरोना मरीजों का रिकार्ड सामने आया। बिहार स्वास्थ्य विभाग के अनुसार एक दिन में 1266 नये मरीज आए हैं , जो अब तक का रिकार्ड है। नीतीश कुमार ने कम जांच कराने के आरोप के बीच राज्य में प्रति दिन 15 हजार टेस्ट कराने का निर्देश दिया है। जानकारों ने आशंका जताई है कि अधिक जांच होने से और मरीज सामने आ सकते हैं। इसी आशंका के मद्देनजर बिहार के अधिकतर जिलों में फिर से लॉक डाउन को लागू कर दिया गया है। वहीं, चुनाव आयोग के सूत्रों के अनुसार उसकी तैयारी पूरी है और 15 अगस्त के बाद हालात की समीक्षा होगी, जिसके बाद चुनाव के डेट के बारे में अंतिम फैसला होगा। तय समय के अनुसार राज्य में अक्टूबर-नवंबर में विधानसभा चुनाव होने वाले हैं।

According to the ministry’s Covid-19 dashboard, 10,974 fresh cases were reported from across the country in the last 24 hours and 2,003 patients succumbed to the respiratory disease. India’s death toll stands at 11,903 so far.

The death toll surged after Delhi and Maharashtra took into account hundreds of fatalities that were pending review, officials have said.

During the last 24 hours, 10,215 COVID-19 patients were cured. A total of 1,80,012 patients, so far, have been cured of COVID-19. The recovery rate rises to 52.47%, which is indicative of the fact that more than half of positive cases have recovered from the disease.Currently, 1,53,178 active cases are under medical supervision.The Ministry of Health and Family Welfare has issued a detailed illustrated guide to address the issue of stigma faced by people affected by COVID-19 including patients recovered from COVID-19, frontline healthcare providers, their families etc.

Testing capacity ramped up, reaches 3 lakh tests/day

The testing capacity for detecting the novel Coronavirus in infected persons in the country is continuously being ramped up. The country now has the capacity to test 3 lakh samples per day. The total number of samples tested thus far is 59,21,069 with 1,54,935 samples tested in the last 24 hours. A network of 907 labs has been created in the country as on date. This includes 659 labs in the government sector and 248 in the private sector. The details are as follows:

• Real-Time RT PCR based testing labs: 534 (Govt: 347 + Private: 187)
• TrueNat based testing labs : 302 (Govt: 287 + Private: 15)
• CBNAAT based testing labs : 71 (Govt: 25 + Private: 46)

In order to enhance the testing capacity in Delhi, each of the 11 districts shall now have assigned labs for exclusively testing the samples from the respective districts. The samples from each district are being sent to these labs to ensure timely testing and getting the results without any delay. Currently there are 42 labs in Delhi with per day testing capacity .

More than 2.33 million people have been reported to be infected by the novel coronavirus globally and 159,818 have died, according to a Reuters tally. Infections have been reported in more than 210 countries and territories since the first cases were identified in China in December 2019.

The US wants to send a team of experts to China to investigate coronavirus, President Donald Trump has said, a day after he warned Beijing of “consequences” if it was knowingly responsible for the spread of Covid-19 which has killed more than 165,000 people globally, including over 41,000 in America. Describing the coronavirus as a plague, Trump, during his White House news conference on Sunday, said that he is not happy with China where the pandemic emerged in December last year in the central Chinese city of Wuhan.
China’s new confirmed coronavirus cases dropped to 12 with eight of them reported from Chinese nationals coming from abroad, taking the total tally to 82,747, health officials said on Monday. The overall confirmed cases on the mainland had reached 82,747 by Sunday, including 4,632 people died of the disease, 1,031 patients still being treated and 77,084 others who had been discharged after recovery.

Peru reported over 15,000 cases of coronavirus on Sunday, the second-highest tally in Latin America, as the disease continues to ravage the economy of the world’s No. 2 copper producer. Peru recorded its first coronavirus case on March 6 and took 25 days to reach 1,000 cases. It took only 14 more days to reach 10,000 cases on April 14, according to a Reuters tally. Peru has reported a total of 15,628 cases and 400 deaths, the health ministry said.

The Cabinet Committee on Economic Affairs, chaired by Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi has given its approval to the amendments proposed in the Toll Operate Transfer (TOT) Model by National Highways Authority of India (NHAI). Public funded National Highway (NH) projects which are operational and have toll revenue generation history of one year after the Commercial Operations Date (COD) shall be monetized through the TOT Model. The monetization will be subject to approval of the Competent Authority in Ministry of Road Transport and Highways (MoRTH) / NHAI on a case to case basis.

Around 75 operational NH projects have been identified for potential monetization using the TOT Model, and bundled into 10 separate bids to attract economics of scale for the private sector. The corpus generated from proceeds of such project monetization shall be utilized by the Government to meet its fund requirements regarding future development and O&M of highways in the country. The Model would facilitate efficient toll realization through private sector.

This approval would ensure a wider set of assets for Monetization and providing a more attractive model for the investors. Further, the fund generated from such monetization shall be utilized for development/O&M of highways in the country, which would benefit highway users throughout the country.
