<p>As a key player in India’s EV landscape, Montra Electric continues to solidify its presence in the e-SCV segment. The recently launched, EVIATOR, is a game-changing Small Commercial Vehicle (SCV) designed to set new standards in battery performance, driving range, and efficiency. With the launch of EVIATOR, Montra Electric is rapidly expanding the Powerdock network, a robust and widespread EV charging infrastructure to seamlessly support its growing customer base.</p>

<p><b>Bengaluru, 12 March 2025</b> – Montra Electric’s e-SCV division, TIVOLT Electric Vehicles Private Limited has inaugurated its dedicated manufacturing plant for electric small commercial vehicles (e-SCV) in Ponneri, Chennai. The facility was inaugurated by Mr. Arun Murugappan, <b>Executive Chairman,</b> <b>Tube Investments of India Limited (TII)</b>; in the presence of Mr. Jalaj Gupta, <b>Managing Director, ,TI Clean Mobility Private Limited (Montra Electric (TICMPL)</b>; and Mr. Saju Nair, <b>CEO, Tivolt Electric vehicles</b> Private Limited (SCV division of Montra Electric)</p>
<p>This cutting-edge facility, spread across approximately 5 lakh square feet, has an annual production capacity of 50,000 vehicles, catering to the Small and Light Commercial Vehicle (SCV/LCV) segments. Strategically located near the Kolkata highway, just 35 kilometers from Chennai city, the plant is designed to efficiently serve the growing demand for sustainable transportation solutions in India. The integrated workplace fosters a collaborative ‘one team’ culture to drive innovation and operational excellence.</p>
<p><b>Mr. Arun Murugappan, Executive Chairman,</b> <b>Tube Investments of India Limited (TII) said, </b>“TICMPL is proud to inaugurate its first dedicated e-SCV plant in Tamil Nadu. We remain committed to innovative and sustainable clean mobility solutions. Montra Electric has been at the forefront of India’s EV transformation, and this plant marks a significant step forward in our journey. As we prepare for the future, we are determined to contribute meaningfully to India’s goal of achieving net zero carbon emissions by 2070.”</p>
<p><b>Mr. Jalaj Gupta, Managing Director, Montra Electric (TI Clean Mobility Private Limited)</b> said, “We are thrilled to inaugurate this state-of-the-art plant in Ponneri. This facility is a testament to our vision of delivering cutting-edge, high-performance e-SCV. The launch of this plant not only strengthens our production capabilities but also reinforces our commitment to providing industry-leading EV solutions.”</p>
<p>The newly inaugurated plant will primarily manufacture EVIATOR, Montra Electric’s latest breakthrough in the e-SCV segment. EVIATOR sets new benchmarks with an industry-leading certified range of 245 km and a real-life range of 170 km. It boasts the highest power output in its category at 80 kW and an impressive torque of 300 Nm. The vehicle comes with an extended warranty of up to 7 years or 2.5 lakh kilometers, ensuring reliability and longevity. EVIATOR is further equipped with advanced telematics, delivering over 95% fleet uptime, making it a game-changer in the small commercial vehicle space.</p>

<p>The MoU was signed by Mr. Saju Nair, CEO, Tivolt Electric Vehicles and Mr. Virendra Goyal, Head BD EV charging, TPREL, in the presence of Mr. Shivram Bikkina, Chief -Solar Rooftop &amp; EV charging business, TPREL.</p>
<p>TPREL will bring its extensive experience in setting up and managing an expansive EV Charging infrastructure across the country to Tivolt dealerships, customer locations, and high-traffic public spaces. By deploying these strategically located EV Chargers, TPREL will empower commercial EV owners with reliable and highly accessible charging.</p>
<p>With a focus on easy charging solutions for small electric commercial vehicles, TPREL has previously partnered with other OEMs for providing 200+ customised EV Charging stations to customers in over 100 cities, including Mumbai, Delhi, Chennai, Bengaluru, Kolkata, Pune and Kochi.</p>
<p>Taking this initiative, a step further, TPREL will also explore the integration of solar energy systems to power Tivolt dealerships and customer locations. This innovative approach not only reduces the carbon footprint but also lowers the cost of charging for consumers, making the shift to electric vehicles more affordable and sustainable. This aligns with our broader commitment to driving India’s transition to a cleaner energy future through renewable solutions.</p>
