Addressing the gathering, Dr. D. K. Sinha honored the teachers, stating: “Without the dedication, patience, and commitment of teachers, no school or society can progress. Teachers are the true nation-builders.”

Extending warm Teacher’s Day greetings, the Cloudnine Noida team reaffirmed their commitment to educators’ well-being through periodic health check-ups and awareness initiatives. Senior Coordinator Mrs. Sangeeta Bishnoi expressed heartfelt gratitude to the guests, teachers, and students, remarking, “Your presence has made this Teacher’s Day celebration truly meaningful.”

The program concluded on a joyful and memorable note, honoring the dedication and contribution of teachers.

This year’s celebrations were thoughtfully curated to combine gratitude with joyful engagement, bringing together children, parents, and teachers in meaningful ways. Activities included a “Thank You Wall,” where parents and students penned personal notes of gratitude to express their appreciation for their teachers. Adding a personal touch, Teacher Appreciation Kits with handmade cards and small tokens of love were gifted to educators, celebrating the bonds they share with their students. Many centres also took the opportunity to share inspiring stories of their teachers, shining a light on the profound impact they have had in shaping young learners’ journeys.

“Teachers are the true heroes who shape our future and deserves our deepest appreciation,” said Mr. Atanu Bhowmick, Director In-Charge, Rourkela Steel Plant (RSP) while addressing at the colourful Teachers’ Day programme organized by the Town Services-Education unit of RSP at Civic Centre on 5th September. The celebration was organised to pay tribute to Bhrat Ratna Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan, the 2nd President of India and legendary teacher, and a visionary leader, on his Birth Anniversary.

Mr. Bhowmick was the Chief Guest while Prof. Dr. Raja Kishore Paramguru, Former Chief Scientist, CSIR-IMMT, Bhubaneswar was the Keynote Speaker. Present on the occasion were Mr. S R Suryawanshi, ED(Works), Mr. Tarun Misra, ED (HR), with additional charge of   ED (Projects),  Mr. Anil Kumar, CGM I/C (MM), Dr. Jayant Acharya, CMO I/C (M&HS), Mr. P K Swain, CGM (TA&CSR), Dr. S Tripathy, Principal, IVM, Sector-19, Ms. Sushreeta Das, Principal, (IEMS, Sector – 20), and many other senior officers of RSP, and a large number of teachers and students of Rourkela.

The Chief Guest along with other guests inaugurated the celebrations by lighting the ceremonial lamp and paying floral tributes at the portrait of Bharat Ratna Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan.

In his address, Mr. Bhowmick stressed upon the immense role a teacher plays in shaping the future generations of the country. “Technology, social media, and communication are changing the roles of teacher in the digital world. Teachers and students need to be empowered accordingly,” said the DIC.

Dr.  Paramguru started his address with recitation of Guru Vandana and highlighting its meaning and importance. He also shared his experience of celebrating the 1st Teacher’s Day in 1962. “Never fear to ask questions as asking questions will give solutions to many unsolved mysteries as it happened with Newton” he said while advising students and emphasizing on Inquire based learning system.

The DIC felicitated Dr. Paramguru and 96 former teachers and principals from various schools of Rourkela for their contributions in grooming the future citizens of the country.  Mr. Bhowmick also presented the 32 Best Academic Performance Award to the Top ranking students of Rourkela.

The programme commenced with a welcome song ‘Guru Vandana’ by the students Ispat English Medium School, Sector-20 that set the tone of the programme. Master Pragyan Ranjan Barik, student of class -XI, IEMS, Sector-20 welcomed the gathering while Miss Sanchita Panigrahi of Ispat Vidya Mandir, Sector-19 introduced the guests. Ms. Subhasmita of Ispat Vidya Mandir, proposed a Vote of Thanks. Master Mohit Panda  from IEMS, Sector-20 anchored the event.  The programme concluded with a colourful cultural programme by the students of Ispat English Medium School and Ispat Vidya Mandir.

Leaving behind my secure job of 8.5 years was a bold and daring decision but finding such a nurturing and positive work environment at Artium made it all worthwhile. My journey with Artium has been filled with moments of pride and accomplishment. One of the most memorable was when the legendary Sonu Nigam Ji shared an ‘Aha’ moment between my student and me on his own page, accompanied by kind words about my work. It was a tremendous achievement that I will always cherish. The guidance I’ve received from Ananth Vaidyanathan Ji during teacher training has been invaluable, teaching me how to manage diverse students while upholding the highest standards of academic excellence.”

Similarly, Palash Acharjee from Chattisgarh, who teaches Hindustani Classical, Popular Film Music – Hindi, Ghazal, and Devotional Music at Artium, expresses his deep gratitude, “I am indebted to Artium Academy for empowering me to achieve two of life’s most significant milestones: becoming a homeowner and finding a life partner.
