New Delhi, October 10, 2026: Shri Ashish Sood, Hon’ble Minister of Home & Education, Government of NCT of Delhi, and Shikhar Dhawan, Chairperson, Da One Group, inaugurated a state-of-the-art STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) Lab at CM Shri School, Janakpuri today under the Seva Sankalp Abhiyan, organized to mark 25 years of Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi Ji’s public service and to engage citizens in the vision of Viksit Bharat @2047. Supported by Sportskeeda under its CSR initiative, the STEM Lab has been established under SDF’s STEM Shiksha initiative, building on the Foundation’s work to expand technology-enabled learning across Delhi Government schools.

The Janakpuri STEM Lab marks the expansion of Shikhar Dhawan Foundation’s Digital Shiksha programme, taking technology-enabled learning beyond the classroom and into dedicated spaces for hands-on exploration and experimentation. The initiative is being undertaken in continued collaboration with the Government of NCT of Delhi, with a focus on creating meaningful and future-ready learning opportunities for students across Delhi Government schools.

NEW DELHI, India, July 9, 2026: Honeywell Technologies (NASDAQ: HON) today announced a key milestone under Saksham, its flagship education and skilling initiative in India, with the inauguration of its first future-ready STEM education and school transformation program.  The initiative was launched by the Hon’ble Chief Minister of Delhi, Smt. Rekha Gupta at Shalimar Bagh Village Government Girls Senior Secondary School.
As part of the program, Honeywell Technologies aims to transform 12 government and government-aided girls’ schools across the country, reaching more than 12,000 students by 2029 through interventions focused on STEM education, digital literacy, student well-being and teacher development. While the most students and teachers will be impacted in Delhi, the initiative is also being implemented across Pune, Bengaluru and Gurugram.

Implemented in partnership with Ladli Foundation Trust, the intervention combines modern learning infrastructure, teacher capacity building and global exposure opportunities to help create more inclusive and future-ready learning environments for adolescent girls.

Speaking at the inauguration, Smt. Rekha Gupta, Hon’ble Chief Minister of Delhi, said, “It is heartening to see Shalimar Bagh Village Government Girls Senior Secondary School transformed into one of Delhi’s finest government schools. The intervention at Shalimar Bagh Village Government Girls Senior Secondary School, a key milestone in Saksham’s broader school transformation effort, includes:

• STEM laboratories that promote hands-on science and technology learning, innovation and critical thinking.
• Digital ICT and computer labs equipped with computers and interactive learning tools to improve digital literacy and technology access.
• Smart classrooms that enhance student engagement and support technology-enabled teaching.
• Safe and hygienic toilets and WASH infrastructure that promote menstrual dignity, hygiene and student well-being.
• Awareness sessions on menstrual hygiene, nutrition, cyber safety, financial literacy, and reproductive health that help students build confidence and life skills.
• Training for 60 teachers on digital tools and interactive teaching methodologies to support long-term learning outcomes.
• A global Space Science learning opportunity, through which five students from participating schools will be selected to attend an immersive workshop at the U.S. Space & Rocket Center in Huntsville, Alabama.

As India continues to build a technology-driven and innovation-led economy, ensuring equitable access to digital learning and STEM education remains a critical challenge. According to NITI Aayog’s recent report – ‘School Education System in India’[1], more than one-third of schools lack access to computers or internet connectivity, while nearly seven in ten schools do not have smart classrooms. Through Saksham – focused on advancing inclusive STEM education and building future-ready skills, Honeywell Technologies is helping bridge these gaps by combining modern learning infrastructure, teacher capacity building and experiential learning opportunities, enabling students to develop the skills and confidence needed to thrive in the future workforce.

Implemented through Honeywell Hometown Solutions India Foundation (HHSIF), Honeywell Technologies’ philanthropic arm in India, Saksham is creating pathways for young people to develop their skills and confidence needed to succeed in a rapidly evolving world. In Delhi, the initiative will deliver interventions across government schools in Mehrauli, Tughlakabad and Shalimar Bagh, directly benefiting nearly 5,000 students, primarily adolescent girls from underserved communities. With plans to expand to an additional government school in Janakpuri during FY2026–27, Saksham continues to advance educational equity through improved infrastructure, teacher empowerment and experiential learning opportunities.

A MoA in this regard was signed recently at REC Corporate Office, Gurugram, between Shri Arun Kumar Tyagi, Executive Director (CSR), REC Limited and Shri Ashutosh Dutt Sharma, CEO, IHFC (IIT Delhi).

A three-day Soccer Robotics Workshop at the Zonal Centre of Tech radiance offered students hands-on experience in robot design, coding, and strategic gameplay, fostering creativity, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.

The event commenced with a formal inauguration led by the Director and Principal of the school, setting an enthusiastic and forward-looking tone. It concluded with a memorable valedictory ceremony held in the esteemed presence of Mr Sanjay Pandey, Hon’ble SDM, Garhwa, who applauded the students’ passion and encouraged them to continue exploring the frontiers of innovation and technology.

Four students, Arthivit Kumar Singh, Mahi Singh, Saurabh Kumar Gupta, and Sonali Kumari, earned the opportunity to represent the school at a national-level championship at IIT Delhi (03–06 April 2026). Guided by mentors Ms Anamika Prajapati and Mr Raj Kumar, the team showcased remarkable dedication and spirit.

In a commendable initiative, six students from neighbouring schools were also included, reflecting a strong commitment to inclusive and collaborative learning.

National, February 11^th , 2026: Today’s classrooms are no longer confined to textbooks and chalkboards, they are hubs of high-tech innovation where students are actively building the future. This evolution was on full display at the Meena Bhujbal School of Excellence during the prestigious World Skill Challenge 2025. In a stellar showcase of talent, Gopi Birla Memorial School students Aarav Gupta and Aaliya Gupta of Class 6 clinched the 2nd Prize in Plane Building Aeromodelling, proving that the next generation is more than ready to lead in the age of technology.

The competition, held in collaboration with Aerobay, brought together 40 teams and over 100 students from 11 schools to compete in 13 cutting-edge categories. From Robotics and Design Thinking to E-Sports and Battle Bots, the event highlighted how modern students are mastering complex skills that were once reserved for professionals. The atmosphere was charged with creativity as young minds navigated the technicalities of Aeromodelling, including drone technology and rocket launching, demonstrating a level of technical fluency that defines today’s generation.

The event’s prestige was further elevated by the presence of Mr. Vijayraj Madhukar Pawar, a veteran of the Indian Air Force with two decades of expertise in aerospace technology. Currently with Gravity Flying India, Mr. Pawar’s mentorship served as a bridge between today’s aspiring students and the real-world industries they are destined to transform. His participation underscored the event’s role in identifying and nurturing the technological leaders of tomorrow.
