The specialized programme is strategically designed to equip public sector leaders with practical artificial intelligence skills to drive digital transformation. While the opening day focuses on strategic insights for top management, the subsequent days offer hands-on training for managerial-level officers in AI-assisted office productivity, data extraction, automation, and generative AI tools. According to ITDC and SCOPE, this collaborative capacity-building initiative aims to build a robust network of tech-enabled leaders capable of fostering innovation, directly aligning with the Government of India’s vision of promoting responsible digital governance across future-ready institutions.

This strategic alliance marks a pivotal step forward in addressing climate resilience, sustainable resource management, and low-carbon development priorities across India’s vibrant public sector landscape. Through this knowledge-sharing framework, the partnership will focus on equipping enterprises with the necessary institutional capacity and technical expertise to align India’s public sector with global sustainability aspirations while strengthening the ongoing national energy transition. The initiative reflects a shared commitment to building a resilient foundation for long-term green growth, ensuring that public enterprises are well-positioned to navigate future environmental and economic challenges effectively.

In another major industrial achievement, the National Capital Region Transport Corporation has been conferred the prestigious Sankalp Se Siddhi Infrastructure Honour at the ET Edge Supply Chain Fest 2026. This coveted award was presented in recognition of the successful implementation of the landmark Delhi-Ghaziabad-Meerut Namo Bharat corridor. The honour highlights the project’s transformative impact on regional connectivity, its pioneering contribution to modern urban mobility, and its innovative execution methods that align seamlessly with the vision of transformative national initiatives such as the PM Gati Shakti National Master Plan, reflecting the collaborative efforts of the entire team in building a future-ready transportation ecosystem.

During his address, Prof. Charan urged Indian PSEs to adopt an “outside-in” perspective, encouraging leaders to think from the “future back” rather than being mere observers of global shifts. By identifying external vulnerabilities before they escalate into crises, he argued that enterprises can better protect their capacity and remain globally competitive. He highlighted the unique strengths of the Indian public sector, noting that fostering a leadership mindset at every level is the primary driver for creating sustainable value for the nation.

The session concluded with a focus on Prof. Charan’s three-pronged approach for the future: compassionate transition, a mission of mentorship, and an outside-in mindset. These pillars are designed to bridge the persistent gap between high-level strategy and tangible results. Designed to go beyond conventional training, DAKSH 2.1 focuses on building transformational leadership skills such as agility, empathy-driven decision-making, and succession planning. The programme aims to develop leaders as “architects of transformation” who can drive India’s economic future, with 72 executives expected to undergo an intensive six-day foundation phase followed by a 12-month development journey.

This national level quiz competition for PSE Employees, held at SCOPE Complex, New Delhi saw a massive turnout of 107 teams from various Public Sector Enterprises from across the country.

Winners of SCOPE Business Quiz Bonanza are S.W. Kispotta and Anand Raj, SAIL (Winner) and Saif Rahman and Mohit Kumar Gupta, Grid India (Runners Up).

Designed to promote teamwork and a spirit of healthy competition, the quiz challenged participants with pertinent questions of global business trends, economic principles, and current affairs. While testing the intellectual agility of the competing teams, the event served as a high-impact platform to spotlight the monumental achievements and strategic contributions of Indian PSEs to the national economy.

A detailed presentation on various aspects of the Budget including new provisions and amendments in Taxation was made by senior partners and subject matter experts from ICAI and Deloitte. Over 100 participants from different PSEs attended the program through hybrid mode including SCOPE’s various social media platforms.

Delving deep into different aspects of the Budget 2024, Prof. N. R. Bhanumurthy said that the Budget has balanced both the short-term as well as medium-term aspects of the economy and highlighted the need to give due attention to reforms focused on increasing productivity and labour market reforms.

Terming the Budget 2024 as a ‘future-oriented Budget’, Shri Atul Sobti said that the Budget focuses on the long-term growth of the country and has set priorities in various key areas. He added that PSEs will have to contribute immensely in these strategic areas and steer India towards becoming the third largest economy in the world.

CA Anuj Goyal, in his address, appreciated the announcements made in Budget 2024, while highlighting the focus of the Budget to give more liberty to trade and industry in the country.

The AGM attended by a large number of participants, encapsulated SCOPE’s transcending role as the apex body of PSEs in “New India,” highlighting the initiatives undertaken by SCOPE towards achieving its vision. Various novel initiatives like SCOPE’s Social Interaction facility for PSEs in India; global collaborative efforts towards policy advocacy; employer representation on National and International forums; programs, workshops and studies in the areas of Skills & Labour, Corporate Governance, Leadership Development, Climate Action, Digital Transformation, Financial Management, Women empowerment, Health & wellness etc. were also showcased.

Echoing SCOPE’s commitment to coalesce and create a niche for PSEs across the globe, the meeting also presented the vision plan of the apex body, expanding and exploring newer pathways of excellence.

The meeting is being attended by over 100 participants from 37 PSEs.

In his inaugural address, Shri Y.K. Sinha said that Public Sector Enterprises (PSEs) play a crucial role in the development of our country, but besides their significant role, they must ensure transparency, accountability, and good governance. He emphasized that transparency and accountability are the cornerstones of the performance of an organization, which reinforces the need to conduct workshops like this one being organized by SCOPE.

Shri K. Ravinder Naik addressing the participants appreciated SCOPE in organizing RTI Meet in Lucknow for the benefit and knowledge upgradation of information seekers and public authorities, especially in the largest state of the country, receiving maximum RTI applications.

Shri Atul Sobti said that RTI is a citizen centric Act facilitating transparency, ethics, accountability and empowering citizens. He highlighted that as PSEs are important pillars of the Indian economy, SCOPE as the apex body of PSEs, has been organizing knowledge and experience sharing programs in diverse regions of the country.

SCOPE’s National Meet aims to enhance the knowledge of Senior Officials, PIOs, Nodal Officers & Executives of PSEs and enable them to gain better appreciation of the RTI Act and the issues involved, for its effective implementation in their respective organizations.
