कांग्रेस के चाणक्य कहे जाने वाले अहमद पटेल को पत्रकारिता से लेकर राजनीति तक के सारे लोग अहमद भाई ही कहते थे और वो भी सबके साथ हर तरह का फासला भुलाकर भाई की तरह ही मिलते थे .उनसे आखिरी लंबी मुलाकात महाराष्ट्र में सरकार के गठन के समय हुयी थी .तब उन्होने राज्य में सरकार के बारे में कुछ जानकारी मांगी थी .अहमद भाई की सबसे बडी खासियत यही थी कि वो किसी से भी उतनी सहजता से जानकारी लेते थे जितनी किसी बडे व्यक्ति से .

अहमद भाई से मेरी पहचान 2007 के आसपास हुयी तब वो सत्ता धारी कांग्रेस के सबसे बडे व्यक्ति थे तब उनसे पहचान रखना कांग्रेस कवर करने वाले पत्रकारों के लिए बडी बात मानी जाती थी . तब कांग्रेस के कई बडे रिपोर्टर उनके नाम पर धौंस दिखाया करते थे . किसी तरह मैने उनका नंबर जुगाडा और उनको ये लिखा कि मैं भी कांग्रेस कवर करता हूं सहयोग बनाये रखें  . आश्चर्य ये कि बस कुछ मिनटो में ही उनका उत्तर आ गया और अगले दिन मिलने भी बुला लिया .उसके बाद से जब भी उनको संदेश दो या घर पर उनके सचिव हक साहब के पास लिखवा दो रात डेढ दो बजे अहमद भाई का फोन जरुर आ जाता था . ये सहजता और आत्मीयता ही उनका सबसे बड़ा गुण था कि एक बार मिलने के बाद हर कोई उनको अपना मानता था .

अन्ना आंदोलन के समय सब परेशान थे तो संसद के गेट नंबर बारह पर उनसे मुलाकात हुयी .एक बडे पत्रकार ने उनसे कहा था कि पृथ्वी राज चव्हाण का इस्तेमाल करो तो बात बन जायेगी. अहमद भाई जानते थे कि मैं महाराष्ट्र कवर कर चुका हूं. उन्होने मुझसे पूछा कि क्या पृथ्वीराज चव्हाण जो उस समय प्रधानमंत्री कार्यालय में राज्यमंत्री थे , कैसे रहेंगे .मैने अपने अनुभव के आधार पर कहा कि वो कुछ नहीं कर पायेंगे आप तो माननीय विलासराव देशमुख को बोलें तो काम हो जायेगा. अहमद भाई  ने मेरी बात ध्यान से सुनी .इतना ही नहीं इसके तुरंत बाद जब वहीं शरद पवार साहेब दिख गये तो अहमद भाई ने उनसे पूछा कि विलासराव कैसे रहेंगे . शरद  पवार जी ने भी कहा कि सबसे सही रहेगा. उसके एक दिन बाद ही विलासराव जी ने भैययू जी महाराज  को बुला लिया और अण्णा मन गये . यही अहमद भाई की समझ थी .जो किसी छोटे रिपोर्टर से भी पूछ लेते थे .

ऐसे कई किस्से अहमद भाई के लोग सुनते और सुनाते हैं. जब पार्टी में राहुल गांधी अध्यक्ष बन गये तो कहा जाने लगा कि अहमद भाई के पर काट दिये जायेंगे. संसद में ऐसे ही एक पत्रकार ने खुलकर कह दिया सुना है कि आपके पर काट दिये जायेंगे . अहमद भाई हंसे और बोले हम पंखों से नहीं हौसलों से उडान भरते हैं.हम सब देखते रह गये . अहमद भाई की कमी कांग्रेस को बहुत खलेगी . मुरली भाई देवडा के बाद वही थे जो उन तमाम लोगों को जोडे हुये थे जो कांग्रेसी नहीं थे लेकिन अहमद भाई अंगर कहते तो सब मदद के लिए तैयार रहते .

कपिल सिब्बल के बाद अब सबसे वरिष्ठ नेताओं में से एक गुलाम नबी आजाद ने कहा कि हमारे लोगों का ब्लॉक स्तर पर, जिला स्तर पर लोगों के साथ कनेक्शन टूट गया है। जब कोई पदाधिकारी हमारी पार्टी में बनता है तो वो लेटर पैड छाप देता है, विजिटिंग कार्ड बना देता है, वो समझता है बस मेरा काम खत्म हो गया, काम तो उस समय से शुरू होना चाहिए। कांग्रेस नेता गुलाम नबी आजाद ने कहा कि चुनाव 5-सितारा होटल में बैठकर नहीं जीते जाते। आज नेताओं के साथ समस्या यह है कि अगर उन्हें पार्टी का टिकट मिलता है, तो वे पहले 5-सितारा होटल बुक करते हैं। अगर कहीं कोई उबड़-खाबड़ सड़क है तो वे वहां नहीं जाएंगे। जब तक ये कल्चर हम नहीं बदलेंगे, हम चुनाव नहीं जीत सकते।

गुलाम नबी आजाद ने कहा कि हम सभी नुकसान के बारे में चिंतित हैं, खासकर बिहार और उपचुनाव परिणामों के बारे में। मैं नुकसान के लिए नेतृत्व को दोष नहीं देता हूं। क्योंकि पार्टी के बड़े नेताओं का जमीनी स्तर पर संपर्क टूट गया है। ब्लॉग लेवल पर, जिला स्तर पर कार्यकर्ताओं का संबंध लोगों से टूट गया है। आदमी को पार्टी से इश्क होना चाहिए। गुलाम नबी आजाद ने शेर सुनाते हुए कहा कि ये इश्क़ नहीं आसां इतना ही समझ लीजिए, इक आग का दरिया है और डूब के जाना है।

आजाद ने कहा, ‘हमारा ढांचा कमजोर है, हमें ढांचा पहले खड़ा करना पड़ेगा। फिर उसमें कोई भी नेता हो चलेगा। सिर्फ नेता बदलने से आप कहेंगे कि पार्टी बदल जाएगी, बिहार आएगा, मध्य प्रदेश आएगा, उत्तर प्रदेश आएगा, नहीं वो सिस्टम से बदलेगा।’

हालांकि आजाद के बयान के बाद विरोध भी शुरु हो गया है .पश्चिम बंगाल से सांसद अधीर रंजन चौधरी ने तो असंतुष्ट नेताओं को पार्टी छोडने की सलाह दे दी है . लेकिन ये रास्ता नहीं है असल में दोनों तरफ के विचारों को सुनकर ही रास्ता निकलना चाहिये .

इस बयान के बारे में पूछे जाने पर  सलमान खुर्शीद ने कहा कि शार्टकट से उनका मतलब अपनी विचारधारा त्यागने से था. उन्होंने कहा, ‘‘आपको अपनी विचारधारा क्यों छोड़नी चाहिए. यदि आपकी विचारधारा मतदाताओं को आपके लिए मतदान करने के लिए राजी नहीं कर पा रही है, तो या तो आपको अपनी दुकान बंद कर देनी चाहिए या आपको इंतजार करना चाहिए. हम मतदाताओं को राजी कर रहे हैं, इसमें समय लगेगा.’’

इस बीच वित्तमंत्री रहे पी चिंदबरम ने भी पार्टी में बदलाव का सुझाव दिया है .कांग्रेस गिरती अर्थव्यवस्था और कोरोनावायरस संकट के मुद्दे होने के बावजूद अच्छी मौजूदगी नहीं जता पाई, इस पर चिदंबरम ने कहा कि ‘मुझे गुजरात, मध्य प्रदेश, उत्तर प्रदेश और कर्नाटक के उपचुनावों की चिंता ज्यादा है. यह नतीजे दिखाते हैं कि या तो पार्टी की जमीन पर संगठन के तौर पर मौजूदगी ही नहीं है, या फिर बहुत ज्यादा कम हुई है

This comes a day after Kangana took to her handle to slam Maharashtra chief minister Uddhav Thackeray for allegedly carrying out vendetta politics and carrying out a demolition drive at her Mumbai office.
Yesterday in a tweet she said that, as a symbolic gesture, she will not renovate the portions of her office that were demolished on Wednesday by the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation. The BMC carried out the demolition based on alleged structural violations.

Meanwhile Kanganas mother ASHA RANAUT has thanked Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) for providing Y-plus category security to her daughter even as her tussle with Shiv Sena leaders escalates. Asha added that the gesture has made her a BJP supporter now.

सूत्रों के अनुसार अभी गुजरात के प्रभारी राजीव सातव ने जिस तरह से खुलकर आरोप लगाये उससे कई सीनियर नेता आहत है.उनको लगता है कि इसको राहुल गांधी की शह है . अब सब मिलकर तैयारी कर रहे है कि राहुल को नहीं उनकी टीम को हटाया जाये . दरअसल गांधी परिवार की सबसे बडी गलती यही है कि वो पार्टी के मामले में खुद पार्टी बन गये . हमेशा से पार्टी में विवाद होते रहते हैं लेकिन शीर्ष नेतृत्व उसे केवल निपटाता है खुद शामिल नहीं होता . पर अब हालात बदल गये है.

देश की सबसे पुरानी पार्टी कांग्रेस को नये अध्यक्ष की तलाश है ।ज्यादातर कांग्रेसी चाहते है कि गांधी परिवार की पार्टी की बागडोर सम्हाले लेकिन इस बार गांधी परिवार ने मन बना लिया है कि अध्यक्ष कोई गैर गांधी ही होगा । ऐसे में सवाल उठ रहा है कि किसे अध्यक्ष बनाया जाए ।

पार्टी के दो पैमाने होंगे वरिष्ठता और निष्ठा । साथ ही पार्टी एक संदेश भी देना चाहेगी जिस पर कोई दलित ही खरा उतर सकता है। कांग्रेस पहले भी दलित सीताराम केसरी को अध्यक्ष बना चुकी है लेकिन केसरी तेज निकले और पीएम बनने का सपना देखने लगे थे ।

अगर इस कसौटी से देखा जाए तो पूर्व गृहमंत्री सुशील कुमार शिंदे और अभी महासचिव  मल्लिकार्जुन खड़गे दोनों सबसे बेहतर साबित हो रहे है।।80 की उम्र के करीब होकर भी दोनों सक्रिय है और लॉयल भी।।तीसरा नाम मुकुल वासनिक का है लेकिन वो जूनियर होंगे और मुकुल के बनाने से कोई संदेश नही जाएगा ।

जानकारी है कि कांग्रेस अभी किसी को कार्यकारी अध्यक्ष बनाएगी और वो ही दिसंबर में पार्टी के चुनाव कराएगा । अगर बिहार के नतीजे ठीक रहे तो राहुल फिर से अध्यक्ष बनेंगे अन्यथा गैर गांधी ही अध्यक्ष

बनेगा । गांधी परिवार का ये भी मानना है कि अभी लोकसभा चुनाव में चार साल है और आखिरी साल में ही गांधी परिवार बागडोर संभाले तब तक पार्टी को गैर गांधी को सौंपा जाये .

कांग्रेस ने 5 नामों पर विचार शुरू किया है और इनसे अलग अलग बात भी की है।।तीसरा नाम आनंद शर्मा है जो ब्राह्मण और तेजतर्रार है।।आनंद युथ कांग्रेस को सम्हाल चुके है लेकिन तुनकमिजाज है।बहुत तेज भी है और खुद को पीएम बनने लायक भी मानते है।।शायद यही चूक जाए,

The investigations will focus on the alleged violation of laws like the Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA), Income Tax Act, Foreign Contribution (Regulation) Act by the Gandhi family-run trusts, said a Home Ministry tweet.

The special director of the Enforcement Directorate will head the committee, the Home Ministry said.

The Rajiv Gandhi Foundation was established on June 21, 1991. The foundation works on a range of issues, including literacy, health, disability, empowerment of the underprivileged, livelihood and natural resource management. Its current focus areas are education, disability and natural resource management.

Congress President Sonia Gandhi is the Chairperson of the Rajiv Gandhi Foundation. Former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh, former Congress President Rahul Gandhi, his sister Priyanka Gandhi Vadra and senior Congress leader P. Chidambaram are members of the board.

The Centre’s move followed recent allegations launched by the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on the Congress and the Gandhi family claiming that China had funded the Rajiv Gandhi Foundation.

Last month, Union Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad, citing some documentary proof, sought an explanation from the Congress to explain why the Chinese Embassy donated about Rs 90 lakh to the Rajiv Gandhi Foundation.

The Congress has denied any wrongdoing and calls the investigation “political vendetta”. the Congress had said that RGF issue raised by the BJP was a “manufactured charge” and “diversionary tactic” to deflect attention from the border tensions at the Line of Actual Control (LAC) between India and China.

Last month, the ruling BJP accused the Congress of “brazen fraud”, alleging that when it was in power, the Manmohan Singh government donated money from the Prime Minister’s National relief Fund to the Rajiv Gandhi Foundation

Meanwhile Priyanka Gandhi cleared her dues of 3.46 lakhs after govt notice to vacate house .“Ms Priyanka Gandhi Vadra has made online payment of balance amount due on her. Hence, now dues as on 30.06.2020 is nil against her,” a spokesperson for the ministry of housing and urban affairs said.

The directorate of estate department of the ministry had issued a notice to her to vacate her house within a month.

“Consequent upon withdrawal of SPG protection and grant of Z+ security cover by Ministry of Home Affairs, which does not have provision for allotment/retention of Government accommodation on security grounds to you, the allotment of Type 68 house No. 35, Lodhi Estate, New Delhi is hereby cancelled w.e.f 01/07/2020. One month concessional period on the same rent up to 01.08.2020 is allowed as per rule,” the letter sent by the ministry said.

“Any stay beyond 01.08.2020 will attract damage charges/penal rent as per rules,” it added.
Cong spokesperson Surjewala said the Congress does not fear from such notices and will continue to highlight the “wrong-doings of a failed Modi government”.

“The BJP government’s deep hatred and sense of vendetta for Congress leadership is well known to all. They have now touched to new lows. The notice of vacation of Priyanka Gandhi’s house signals the anxiety of PM Modi and UP CM Yogi Adityanath. We will not be cowed down by these petty decisions of a frustrated government,” he said in a video message.

The government on Wednesday asked Congress leader Priyanka Gandhi Vadra to vacate her bungalow in Lutyens’ Delhi within a month, saying she is not entitled to the facility following withdrawal of her SPG protection.

It had in November last year replaced the Special Protection Group (SPG) cover of Congress president Sonia Gandhi and her children Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi Vadra, with Z-plus security by the CRPF.

Mr Surjewala said the entire country has seen how some time ago the SPG security of the family of former PM late Rajiv Gandhi was taken away.

PM Modi has also taken away the security of two former prime ministers – Manmohan Singh and HD Deve Gowda, he said.

“The Congress leadership and former PMs have been warning this failed government against its anti-people policies,” he said, adding that they will continue to do so in future.

In her letter, Gandhi also pointed the hike in excise duty of petrol and diesel has come at a time when the country is facing unprecedented public health, economic and social challenges during the ongoing battle against the Covid-19 pandemic.

“I am deeply distressed that in these exceedingly difficult times since the beginning of March, the government has taken the wholly insensitive decision to increase petrol and diesel prices on no less than ten separate occasions,” she wrote.

The letter came a day after former Congress president Rahul Gandhi criticised the government over the increase in petrol and diesel prices.

Apart from demanding that the benefit of low international crude oil prices be passed on to the consumers, the Opposition party also wants the rates of petrol, diesel and LPG be reduced to the August 2004 level.
The price of petrol then was Rs 36.81 per litre, diesel was sold at Rs 24.16 per litre and LPG Rs 261.60 per cylinder in Delhi, it said.

Alleging that the government is earning out of the pockets of the poor by imposing high taxes on fuel, the Congress has also been demanding that petrol and diesel should be brought under the ambit of Goods and Services Tax (GST).

“Your government is seeking to earn an additional revenue of nearly Rs 2,60,000 crore by these ill-advised hikes in excise duty and increases in the petrol of diesel. As it is, people across the board are facing unimaginable hardships what to say of widespread fear and insecurity,” the Congress chief said.

“These price increases are saddling our people with an additional burden of this enormous magnitude that is neither justified nor appropriate. It is the duty and responsibility of the government to alleviate suffering, not put the people to still greater hardship,” she added.

Gandhi questioned the “logic” behind such an increase at a time when the economic impact of Covid-19 is “depriving millions of jobs and livelihood, devastating business big and small, rapidly eroding the income” of the middle class, even as farmers are struggling to sow the crop for the Kharif season.

“What is particularly disturbing is that the Central government and the Rail Ministry are charging them for train tickets in this hour of crisis,” Ms. Gandhi said in a statement.

“The Indian National Congress has, therefore, taken a decision that every Pradesh Congress Committee shall bear the cost for the rail travel of every needy worker and migrant labourer and shall take necessary steps in this regard.”

Questioning the responsibility of the Union government, the Congress chief said there were lakhs of migrant workers who were ‘languishing’ in different parts of the country with neither food nor money to travel.

“Post the Partition of 1947, this is the first time India witnessed a tragedy with such a massive human cost as thousands of migrant workers and labourers were forced to walk home several hundred kilometres on foot — without food, without medicines, without money, without transportation, without anything except for the desire to return to their families and loved ones. The very thought of their plight is enough to break our hearts as there was also the outpouring of support from fellow Indians for their inspiring resolve,” she said.

‘“Our workers and labourers are the ambassadors of our nation’s growth. When our government can recognise its responsibility by arranging free air travel for our citizens stranded abroad, when the government can spend nearly ₹100 crores on transport and food etc. for just one public programme in Gujarat, when the Rail Ministry has the largesse to donate ₹151 crores to the PM’s Corona fund, then why can’t these essential members of our nation’s fabric be given a fraction of the same courtesy, especially free rail travel, at this hour of acute distress,” asked Ms. Gandhi.

The Congress chief stated that by making a “humble contribution” the Congress would stand “shoulder to shoulder in solidarity with the workers”.

The bench of justices DY Chandrachud and MR Shah also issued notices to the Centre, Maharashtra, Chhattisgarh, Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, Telangana and union territory of Jammu and Kashmir where cases have been registered against Goswami.

The court also stayed all FIRs against him except the one registered at Sadar Police Station in Nagpur. It transferred the FIR in Nagpur to Mumbai where it will be investigated.

The bench also ordered Mumbai Police Commissioner to provide security to Goswami and Republic TV office.

The FIRs were filed for hate speeches and for defamation of Congress president Sonia Gandhi for remarks made by Goswami during his primetime show on the Hindi language channel of his Republic TV which aired on April 21.

Goswami had moved the Supreme Court on Thursday seeking a stay on the FIRs.

Goswami hosted a discussion on the Palghar lynching case on his TV channel which, he said in his plea before the Supreme Court, questioned the tardy investigation, inconsistent versions of the authorities and the administration and the state government’s silence on the incident.

Three people – two seers and their driver – were killed by mob in Palghar district of Maharashtra on April 16. reportedly in the presence of 10 policemen and forest guards.

Goswami accused the Congress, which is part of the government in Maharashtra, of leading a well-coordinated, widespread, vindictive and malicious campaign against him.

Goswami claimed that the FIRs registered against him are false and vindictive and have been done by the Congress activists to harass and intimidate him and dissuade him from conducting investigative journalism and bringing the truth before the public

“The complaints and FIRs are a part of well-coordinated and malicious campaign by the Congress and its members of instituting false and baseless complaints against the Petitioner before different police stations simultaneously in various parts of the country,” Goswami said in his petition.

The complaints and FIRs, Goswami alleged, have been registered with the intention to muzzle free speech under Article 19(1)(a) of the Constitution.

The petition, however, does not mention anything about Congress president Sonia Gandhi though some of the FIRs against Goswami are for criminal defamation of Gandhi.
