The brand celebrates 11 years by expanding its menu with inventive formats and hearty flavour,

inspired by what’s cooking outside and served with a SOCIAL twist.

Hyderabad l July 2025: SOCIAL, India’s favourite neighbourhood café-bar, unveils its boldest food chapter yet, a vibrant lineup of an all-day menu that delivers inventive flavour, introduces fresh formats, and spotlights presentation-forward plates alongside its cult favourites. Dubbed as The Big Drop, this launch is SOCIAL’s way of bringing more to the table, inspired by the communities, cravings, and culinary shifts shaping how India eats today.

The new drop includes offerings across categories like Breakfast, Snacks & Chaat, BOSS Burgers, Munchies, Substantials, Desserts, Beverages, and more. It brings new energy to the table with the introduction of categories like Ramen, Breakfast Sandwiches, Thalis, and Dunkables. Crafted for every kind of day, from breakfast and chai breaks to dinners, dates, and midnight viewings, the drop stays rooted in SOCIAL’s DNA of serving hearty, innovative meals with its signature twist. The new menu is now live across 55+ outlets in 10 cities including Hyderabad, Mumbai, Pune, Delhi NCR, Bangalore, Kolkata, Lucknow, Chandigarh, Dehradun, and Indore.

As the brand celebrates 11 years of shaping India’s café-bar culture, SOCIAL continues to build on its founding philosophy: to create hyperlocal spaces that feel like home, where the vibe is familiar, the food speaks the local language, and the experience evolves with its community. The Big Drop marks a bold next step in that journey. Drawing inspiration from the social spaces of India, the chaos of chaat stalls, the nostalgia of college canteens, the edge of late-night thelas, and the flair of today’s Instagram cravings; the additions bring together innovative and contemporary offerings with comfort, curiosity, and cultural storytelling, all served with the unmistakable SOCIAL twist that defines the café of the hood.

Sharing his thoughts on the latest food drop, Riyaaz Amlani, Founder & Managing Director of Impresario Entertainment & Hospitality Pvt. Ltd., said, “When we started SOCIAL, the goal wasn’t just to serve food and drinks, it was to build spaces where people feel a sense of belongingness. That idea has shaped everything we have done. Over the years, we have watched how India eats evolve; faster, more fluid, more expressive. With this drop, we are not just following that change, we’re leading it with food that’s bold in flavour, playful in format, and rooted in how people actually eat today. These aren’t just trendy plates, they are thoughtful, hearty, and designed to match every moment: from a solo chai to a shared Matcha, a Toast-E-Galawati to an Avocado Toast, a Nihari Prashant to a Kimchi Momo Ramen, and a Tokyo Pinja Meringue Sandwich when the mood strikes. More than anything, they carry forward the one thing that’s never changed for us: the feeling that you belong here.”

Talking about the new drop, Chef Shamsul Wahid, Group Executive Chef at Impresario Entertainment & Hospitality Pvt. Ltd., said, “The Big Drop gave us a chance to play with flavours that feel familiar but show up in completely new ways. From ramen inspired by regional Indian gravies to the simplest egg sandwiches done right, every dish has been crafted to deliver comfort first with a twist that makes it unmistakably SOCIAL. We’ve taken cues from train station breakfasts, street-side snacks, home kitchens, and global formats to create food that feels rooted yet fresh. It’s food you recognise, but reimagined for today’s mood, appetite, and pace.”

WHAT’S FRESH IN THE BIG DROP:

The Big Drop brings a fresh mix of categories with bold flavours, familiar comfort, and playful twists across the menu. Whether it’s corporate lunches, post-work hangs, college adda sessions, mall pit stops, family dinners, catch-ups with friends, or solo bites between meetings, there’s something for everyone.

BREAKFAST
A SOCIAL staple that just got bolder. The breakfast section is updated with fresh picks like the buttery Avocado Toast, the spiced indulgence of Anda Kheema Ghotala, and new favourites such as Behen Florentine, and Bhai Benedict.
Light, layered, and full of surprise. New additions include the bold and brothy Tomato Soup with Tempura Boondi and Cheese Toast and the punchy Pacific Poke Bowl, proving that salads at SOCIAL are anything but boring.

BOSS BURGERS

SOCIAL’s indulgent burger section returns with new flavour bombs. From the all-crunchy Samosalicious Smash Burger to the spicy-sweet Paneer Bomba Burger, and finishing with Shams’ Signature Burger stacked with seasoned steak bits and a sunny-side-up egg, this category is built for the bold and the burger-obsessed.

THALIS AND TIFFINS

For those who crave variety on a single plate, this section delivers the perfect all-in-one meal. The newly introduced Veg Tiffin and Non-Veg Tiffin pack comfort, nostalgia, and everyday indulgence into a classic SOCIAL-style dabba.

SUBSTANTIALS
A tribute to India’s full-plate eaters. With robust mains Pulled Mutton Nihari, Parkstreet Chicken, Pepper Chicken With Black Rice Congee, and more, this section offers satisfying meals for every kind of craving, whether it’s vegetarian richness or meat-laden depth.

DESSERT
SOCIAL closes strong with comfort-first, joy-forward desserts. New entries like the Banoffee Pie, Dessert Nachos, and Basque Cheesecake, offer sweet endings that are as twisted as they are tender.

BEVERAGES
From Classic Iced Matcha and Coconut Water Matcha Latte to the decadent Defunct and Affogato, the cold beverage line-up offers refreshing, indulgent sips for every kind of mood. On the warmer side, playful new additions like BomBom, Gammosa, and the rich White Chocolate Matcha Vanilla Latte bring comfort with a SOCIAL twist.

MORE THAN A MENU.

Reserve Bank Governor Shaktikanta Das has pitched for policy support from all sides — fiscal, monetary and sectoral — to nurture recovery of the economy hit by the second wave of the coronavirus pandemic.

The dent on economic activity due to the second wave of the pandemic during April-May necessitated continuation of monetary measures to support the process of economic recovery to make it durable, Das had said while participating in the meeting of the Monetary Policy Committee (MPC) earlier in the month.

“Overall, the second wave of COVID-19 has altered the near-term outlook, and policy support from all sides fiscal, monetary and sectoral is required to nurture recovery and expedite return to normalcy,” Das said, as per the minutes of the meeting released on Friday.

Going forward, the governor said the pace of vaccination and the speed with which the second wave can be brought under control will have considerable bearing on the evolving growth as well the inflation trajectory.

The Reserve Bank remains committed to undertake pro-active conventional and unconventional measures and to effectively channelling the systemic liquidity to alleviate stress of critical sectors which have borne the brunt of the second wave, he said.

Das, and the other five members of the MPC — Shashanka Bhide, Ashima Goyal, Jayanth R Varma, Mridul K Saggar and Michael Debabrata Patra — had voted for keeping the policy repo rate unchanged at 4.0 per cent.

RBI Deputy Governor Patra observed that unlike in the first wave, supply conditions have remained relatively resilient in the second wave, but aggregate demand barring net exports has been dented and needs counter-pandemic policy support.

Even the turnaround in net exports is fragile and heavily dependent on the strength of the vaccination propelled revival in external demand, which may be partially offset by the terms of trade loss on account of the rise in international commodity prices, particularly crude oil, he noted.

Patra further said the MPC has created the necessary conditions for supporting growth by maintaining the policy rate at its lowest level ever

Nurture Positivity and use your Mind Wisely

The Corona virus Pandemic that has created a devastating impact on the economies of the nations around the world and continues to cause enormous anxieties and mental stresses need to be confronted with a mind tuned to positivity and hope during these testing times of great uncertainty said Dr Sangita Reddy, President FICCI and Joint Managing Director Apollo Group of Hospitals while delivering Amity Eminent Webinar Address organized by Amity University Gurugram today. The webinar was attended by over 2000 students, Vice Chancellors, Senior Semitists, Deans, HoIs and members of faculty from 10 Amity Universities in India and many more from abroad.

The Economic and social crisis caused by Covid-19 is undoubtedly the basis for the fear and enormous anxiety that covers everyone irrespective of economic prosperity or social order. It requires leadership that undertakes positivity and willingness to find solutions that can mitigate the ill-effects of the Covid Pandemic. At the same time it is absolutely necessary to create a positive health environment around. Dr Reddy was very happy to add that the industries and corporates in India have responded the Covid crisis with a positive mind and have contributed significantly in managing the crisis by their innovative products and services to help the health care sector in India and also abroad.

Addressing to over 1000 inspired youth connected to the webinar, Dr Sangita Reddy said “Your Mind is the most powerful force to empower you. It can take you to the heights of ecstasy or can enslave you and plunge you into the depth of misery if not used wisely. The most important thing you the young students are doing today is learning how to use this power of your mind wisely by filling it with the right knowledge and choosing the right path and right skills and capabilities”. Let you overcome your fear and work together to create a better world than the one left behind before the Covid Pandemic, said Dr Reddy.

Today the humanity is grappling like never seen before. Generational medical crisis which has now become an economic crisis and also a social crisis. There are geo-political shifts and global friction. There is a manifestation of a burdening crisis all over the world. But then as it is said that the brightness of stars is in the darkness of night. As such it is also the time of great hope and to have great resilience to combat the impending threats of expansionist Covid, said Dr Reddy a crusader of affordable health care for all.

Sharing her experience of implementing a number of innovative initiatives in Apollo group of Hospitals, Dr Reddy said that the continuous quest to push the benchmarks of excellence and caring service to humanity have made Apollo a class apart in the Hospitals in Asia. The integration of latest advances in IT in health care services and the synergy between the advances in biomedical engineering and health care services have made India’s health care truly world class.

Lauding the efforts of Government of India in combating the Covid crisis, Dr Reddy said that the timely interventions of the Government have resulted into containing death rate below 3 percent and the recovery rate of over 72 percent. But we need still to win the battle as over 69000 cases are being added daily.

Invoking a sense of courage and commitment to fight the ongoing pandemic, Dr Sangita Reddy cited the courage and conviction with which the nursing professionals work in the isolation wards, giving their very best services often sacrificing their comfort and even risking their life. The youth of our country should emulate this exemplary courage and prepare themselves to serve the vast humanity with a caring concern for the last man in the society so that no one is left behind. Recalling the famous quote of Mahatma Gandhi that the best way to find yourself is to lose yourself in the service of others. This is the time to show our utmost care and concern for the suffering humanity and also to care for yourself at the same time.

Dr Reddy also highlighted the importance of Academic and Research collaboration between the super-specialty hospitals and leading universities in the areas of Radiology, Oncology, Robotic Surgery, Biomedical Engineering and Bigdata Analytics, Artificial Intelligence, smart diagnostics and targeted drug delivery.

Vice Chancellor of Amity University Gurugram Prof PB Sharma informed that in Amity University higher end research is being conducted in biosciences, biomedical engineering, Data Science and AI and the focus is on integrative sciences and interdisciplinary research and it’s translation into innovative products and marketable IPR development. Scientists at Amity University and Apollo Hospital could work together in areas of high national and society relevance, he said. Vice Chancellor Prof Sharma was happy to infirm that even during the Covid lockdown the research driven faculty of Amity Gurugram have published 455 research papers, filed 40 patents and received 13 funded R&D projects of value approximately 4 crores.

Replying to a question from the audience as to how to remain positive mind and maintain a healthy environment when we are so pressed with online classes and other pressing engagements, Dr Reddy said that despite being busy you have to find time for yourself to refresh your mind and to connect to your soul. Answering another question on the power of prayers in the hours of crisis, Dr Reddy said that the prayers have a great healing power and they do wonders as they give solace to your mind as well. There were many other questions including the long-term effects of Covid-19 and overcoming the fear psychosis due to uncertainties. In her message to the youth Dr Sangita Reddy said that It is the defining moment for each one of us to decide how we want to live and lead our life. Have courage and faith in human capabilities to overcome the crisis and work with a positive mindset.

Founder President of Amity Education Group Dr Ashok K Chauhan, Chairperson Dr Amita Chauhan, Chancellor of Amity University Uttar Pradesh Dr Atul Chauhan, Chancellor Amity University Haryana Dr Aseem Chauhan, Dr Anupam Sibal Group Medical Director Apollo Hospital and President Global Association of Physicians of Indian origin, DR MS Chaudhary Senior Consultant Internal Medicine at Apollo Hospital New Delhi, Dr AK Nagpal Chairman BoG of Amity Medical Education Group and Dr Padmakali Banerjee Pro VC AUH were also present in the Webinar that was moderated by Prof PB Sharma Vice Chancellor, Amity University Haryana. Dr Sanjana Vij coordinated the webinar for which excellent IT support was provided by Dr JS Sodhi and his team.
