Bengaluru, 13 August 2025: The just-concluded Swagtantra Sale on Snapdeal lit up shopping carts across Bharat, bringing the joy and anticipation of the festive season to life. The number of units sold jumped more than 100% over last year’s sale during the same festive period, a reflection of how value, variety, and trust continue to resonate with millions of Indian households.

This year’s sale was a celebration of everyday fashion and festive essentials. The fashion category recorded a steep rise in demand with the sales units more than tripling during the Swagtantra sale which ran from 6th to 11th August. Staples of festive gifting – dry fruits quadrupled. Even rainy wear saw a more than 450% jump, a nod to the ongoing monsoon season.

Shoppers from non-metro cities formed the heart of the celebrations, contributing to 83% of festive season sales. States like Andhra Pradesh, Mizoram, Arunachal Pradesh, Jharkhand, Tamil Nadu, Kerala and Maharashtra emerged as this year’s star performers.

The Swagtantra Sale was also a festival for sellers. Surat emerged as the biggest seller hub with a 176% increase in active sellers, followed by New Delhi. Other cities such as Noida, Jaipur, Ludhiana, Kanpur, Jodhpur, and Rajkot also saw thriving seller communities. Long-time partners who joined in 2017 or earlier contributed 20% of total sales, while sellers who came on board in 2024 and 2025 contributed 32%, both groups showing robust growth.
