DMRC Launches Subsidiary DMIL to Bid for Domestic and Global Projects

NEW DELHI. The Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) has launched a wholly owned subsidiary, Delhi Metro International Limited (DMIL), to serve as its dedicated commercial arm for bidding on transit projects both within India and internationally. In alignment with this strategic expansion, the corporation has initiated a recruitment drive to identify and secure suitable professionals to support its current and upcoming global bidding pipeline and operational requirements.

The PESB panel has recommended the name of Nirmal Kumar Singh for the post of Director (Finance) of Mahanadi Coalfields Limited (MCL)

Nirmal Kumar Singh going to head finance vertical of Mahanadi Coalfields Limited (MCL), a PSU under the Ministry of Coal. He has been recommended MCL’s Director (Finance) post by the Public Enterprises Selection Board (PESB) panel on Wednesday. Presently, he is serving as Chief General Manager at Steel Authority of India Limited (SAIL).

Delhi Airport to Launch India’s First Driverless Air Train by 2028

NEW DELHI. Delhi’s Indira Gandhi International Airport is getting ready to build India’s very first driverless air train system to make traveling between different areas much faster and easier. Known as an Automated People Mover, this high-tech train will connect Terminal 1, Terminals 2 and 3, Aerocity, and Cargo City. The airport operator, DIAL, plans to fully fund and build the project themselves at a cost of 3,000 to 4,000 crore rupees. Once it opens around late 2027 or 2028, the air train will offer completely free and smooth rides for all passengers.

MRC Bags Three Prestigious Awards for Digital and Infrastructure Excellence

At the “Transport Ticketing Global Awards 2026” in London, DMRC won two Bronze awards for Best Passenger Experience and Best Smart Ticketing Programme. Additionally, it received the ET Telecom award in New Delhi for the best fiber deployment network. These accolades highlight DMRC’s leadership in delivering world-class urban mobility and pioneering digital infrastructure solutions.

In an another development , DMRC has been honoured today with two Gold Awards: first, in the category ‘Smart Mobility & Transport Transformation’ for its initiative “DMRC’s Smart Transportation Solution: Integrated, Digitalized and MaaS”; and second, in the category ‘AI & Data Analytics for Public Good’ for
