										<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>NMDC Director-Finance Amitava Mukherjee, who since March 2023 has been holding additional charge as the chairman and managing director, on Thursday assumed office as the CMD of the State-owned miner.</p>
<p>The Public Enterprise Selection Board (PESB) had in November 2024 recommended his name for the post of CMD. The Union Steel Ministry order appointing him to the post was issued on March 6.</p>
<p>Shri Amitava Mukherjee is driving the digital transformation of India’s mining major. Spearheading the implementation of ERP, he led NMDC to become the first CPSE in India to implement ERP on the SAP S4/HANA platform. In his tenure as Director (Finance), NMDC has recorded the best ever financial performance in company history.</p>

										<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p><b>Bengaluru, 3 March 2025</b>: India’s largest iron ore miner, NMDC reported 4.62 million tonnes of production and 3.98 million tonnes of sales for February 2025. This production output has achieved an 18% growth over February 2024 and emerged as the highest ever February month production in company history.</p>
<p>NMDC’s cumulative volumes upto February 2025 stood at 40.49 million tonnes in production and 40.20 million tonnes in sales. The cumulative production figure has also unlocked the company’s best ever volume produced in 11 months, since inception. Consistent growth in FY25 has laid a strong foundation for the company’s ambitious expansion plans and fortified NMDC’s contribution to the mining landscape.</p>
<p>Speaking on the company’s formidable performance, Shri Amitava Mukherjee, CMD (Additional Charge) said, “The 18% boost in production output represents a strong operational momentum. Consistent growth of this kind is an outcome of an efficient mining ecosystem driven by an innovative and ingenious spirit. Our team is relentless in its pursuit of crossing new milestones in FY25.” Looking into the future, he also said, “The upcoming financial year is lined up with determined expansion and new opportunities. We are confident that our efforts will continue to propel self-reliance in India.”</p>

<p>A critical cog in the industrial growth and economic progress of the country, NMDC has committed to build a 100 million tonnes iron ore mining capacity by 2030. The company has announced a massive capital expenditure plan to this end.</p>

<p><strong>Mumbai, 15th August, 2024: </strong>India’s largest iron ore producer and Navratna mining company, NMDC celebrated India’s 78th Independence Day with great enthusiasm. The national flag was hoisted at the company&#8217;s headquarters in Hyderabad and at all its project sites.</p>
<p>Shri Amitava Mukherjee (Additional Charge CMD, NMDC) unfurled the tricolor at the NMDC Corporate Office in Hyderabad, accompanied by Shri Vinay Kumar, Director (Technical) &amp; Personnel (Addl. Charge); Shri B. Vishwanath, Chief Vigilance Officer; Shri Zailabuddin, senior most employee at Head Office, senior officials and employees.</p>
<p>In his address to the gathering at the Hyderabad headquarters, Shri Mukherjee said, <em>“It is a privilege for NMDC to uphold the responsibility of serving and meeting the nation’s infrastructural needs, symbolizing our enduring commitment to India’s progress. Our steadfast resolve has led NMDC to become the first mining company in the country to surpass the 45 million-tonne mark. With this determination, we are set to achieve within the next five years what we have accomplished over the past six decades, raising our production from 50 million tonnes to 100 million tonnes. Our strong Q1 financial results and achievements, including 1 million tonnes of liquid steel and 1.5 million tonnes of hot metal production at the NMDC Steel plant, are a testament to the modern marvel we have built for India. NMDC is dedicated to responsible mining and sustainability.”</em></p>
<p>Additionally, the winners of the third edition of the NMDC-Hindu chess tournament held on August 11, Sunday, at the State Art Gallery in Hyderabad were felicitated today by the CMD. Approximately 600 students from 110 schools participated in the event. CMD, Director Technical, CVO, President and office bearers of Mineral Eves’ club Hyderabad felicitated   the winners of the internal games organized for employees and associates.</p>

<p><strong> </strong><strong>Mumbai, August 12, 2024:</strong> India’s largest iron ore producer NMDC has announced its Q1 FY’25 Financial Results. The company reported a net profit of 1,984<strong> crore</strong> for the quarter, marking a significant achievement in its ongoing growth trajectory.</p>
<p>The company recorded a turnover of Rs. 5,378 crore, with Profit After Tax (PAT) at Rs 1,984 crore, and EBITDA of Rs. 2,725 crore in the first quarter of this financial year. This remarkable performance reflects an upswing of EBITDA of 2,725 crore, up by 20% over CPLY.</p>
<p>Commenting on the company’s results, Shri Amitava Mukherjee, CMD (Addl. Charge) said, <em>“NMDC&#8217;s unwavering commitment to nation-building is reflected in our strong performance this quarter. This is a good start to the fiscal year as reflected in our Q1 earnings.  Our strategic focus on technological innovation and operational excellence has driven remarkable results, positioning us as a cornerstone in the industry. Buoyed by this momentum, we are on track to achieve a production target of 50 MnT by the end of FY25, further contributing to the country’s economic growth.”</em></p>
