Our Director (HR), Dr. Vinay Ranjan and Director (Technical) Shri Achyut Ghatak, while addressing the Workshop, highlighted the importance of judicious enterprise risk management for the holistic growth of Coal India and emphasized the need to foster a robust risk management culture at both the corporate and subsidiary levels to achieve the company’s goal.

The session featured in-depth discussions on various identified organizational risks, along with potential mitigation strategies aimed at minimizing their impact.

Coal India appoint Shri Achyut Ghatak, as Director (Technical)

Coal India has announced the appointment of Shri Achyut Ghatak as D(T) CIL.

Starting his journey in 1989, as a Junior Executive Trainee in our subsidiary Western Coalfields, Shri Ghatak brings over three decades of experience in the Coal mining sector.

Shri Ghatak introduced MS-Project for the first time in CIL to oversee coal mining projects and created the roadmap for our 1 Bt goal. He also played a crucial role in formulating and implementing the Underground Vision Plan for CIL, contributed to the preparation of CIL’s Vision 2047 and assisted in drafting the MoC’s Vision 2047 document.
