The Bollywood veteran DILIP KUMAR turned 98 on Friday and wishes poured in on social media from the members of the film fraternity. Some of the actors shared cherished memories with the actor in the form of throwback pictures while others wished Dilip Kumar on social media with heartfelt notes.

Shah Rukh Khan posted a picture of himself and the iconic actor and wrote: “To the one and only, who amazed and inspired the world by just being himself. Wishing the legendary Dilip Kumar a happy birthday. I cherish and remember every time we’ve met in vivid detail and you have always loved me like your own. Love you too much. Have a good one, Dilip Sahib.”

Veteran stars Dharmendra and Raj Babbar shared priceless throwback pictures of Dilip Kumar on their respective Instagram profiles. “Happy birthday, Dalip sahab. Love you my darling brother,” wrote Dharmendra, who has worked with Dilip Kumar in films like Guddi and Jwaar Bhata, while Raj Babbar wished the legendary actor like this: “Happy Birthday. Wishes to the living legend Dilip Kumar Saheb. Through his sterling performances he wrote Indian cinema’s grammar book on Acting from which so many like me benefitted. Feel blessed to have worked with him. May the almighty always grant him good health.” Raj Babbar shared screen space with Dilip Kumar in Mazdoor.

Mohammed Yusuf Khan (born 11 December 1922) known professionally as Dilip Kumar, is an Indian actor and philanthropist, best known for his work in Hindi cinema. Referred as The Tragedy King and The First Khan he has been credited for bringing the Method acting technique to Indian cinema. Kumar holds the record for most wins for the Filmfare Award for Best Actor and was also the inaugural recipient of the award.

Kumar debuted as an actor in the film Jwar Bhata (1944), produced by Bombay Talkies. In a career spanning over five decades, Kumar worked in over 65 films. Kumar is known for roles in films such as the romantic Andaz (1949), the heartwarming Babul (1950), the impassioned Deedar (1951), the swashbuckling Aan (1952), social drama Daag (1952), the dramatic Devdas (1955), the comical Azaad (1955), Naya Daur (1957), Yahudi (1958), Madhumati (1958), Kohinoor (1960), the epic historical Mughal-e-Azam (1960), the social dacoit crime drama Gunga Jumna (1961) and the comedy Ram Aur Shyam (1967)

Shah Rukh Khan has been missing from the big screen for over a year now. The actor’s last outing was Aanand L Rai’s film Zero where King Khan shared the screen with the beautiful and gorgeous Anushka Sharma and Katrina Kaif. The film failed to make a mark at the Box Office and Shah Rukh Khan went on a break. His last film Zero hit the theatres in 2018 and now the fans are missing Badshah on the screen. But here’s a piece of good news for all the Shah Rukh Khan fans out there:

In a recent interview with Mid Day news, director duo Raj Nidimoru and Krishna DK, who is credited for films like Stree, Go Goa Gone, Shor In The City and more, revealed about their collaboration with Shah Rukh Khan for their next project. The director duo has the image of going with unconventional and out of the box ideas. Their upcoming film is a script that they have been holding on to for a long time, they told the daily. They pitched the idea to Shah Rukh Khan and he is happy to join their universe, they revealed without divulging further details about the film.

The two directors stated that the film will go on floors depending upon Shah Rukh Khan’s dates and they leave it upon him to make the official announcement. He is trying to manage his dates so that the film starts rolling in mid-2020, they said. Even though we do not have a hint about what the film is going to be about, Shah Rukh Khan’s massy act and director duo Raj and DK’s unconventional thinking is surely something to look forward to.
