BILASPUR. Coal India’s first fully women-operated medical facility, the Vasant Vihar Dispensary at South Eastern Coalfields Limited (SECL), has successfully completed its first year of operations. Managed entirely by a dedicated team of female doctors and healthcare personnel, the dispensary has become a prominent example of women empowerment while providing high-quality medical services to SECL employees and their families.

To mark this milestone, a celebratory event was organized at the facility, featuring a cake-cutting ceremony attended by medical professionals from both the Vasant Vihar Dispensary and the Indira Health Centre.

During the celebration, SECL Chairman and Managing Director (CMD) Harish Duhan praised the all-women team for demonstrating exceptional capability, leadership, and professionalism over the past twelve months. He highlighted the initiative as a major point of pride for the organization and announced plans to develop the dispensary into a specialized Centre of Excellence in the future. मानसून में भी नहीं रुकेगी कोयले की सप्लाई: SECL ने पूरी की तैयारियां

बिलासपुर: कोल इंडिया की प्रमुख सहायक कंपनी एसईसीएल (SECL) ने मानसून के दौरान अपनी खनन परियोजनाओं में निर्बाध (बिना रुके) कोयला आपूर्ति सुनिश्चित करने के लिए व्यापक तैयारियां पूरी कर ली हैं। कंपनी के सीएमडी (अध्यक्ष एवं प्रबंध निदेशक) हरीश दुहान ने गुरुवार को यह जानकारी देते हुए कहा कि इन कदमों का उद्देश्य देश की ऊर्जा सुरक्षा को मजबूत बनाए रखना है। बिजली उत्पादन और औद्योगिक कामकाज को सुचारू रूप से चलाने के लिए बिना किसी रुकावट के कोयले की सप्लाई बेहद जरूरी है, खासकर मानसून के मौसम में जब खदानों में परिचालन संबंधी जोखिम काफी बढ़ जाते हैं।

एसईसीएल, कोल इंडिया लिमिटेड (CIL) की सबसे ज्यादा कोयला उत्पादन करने वाली सहायक कंपनियों में से एक है। कंपनी वर्तमान में कुल 60 कोयला खदानों का संचालन करती है, जिनमें से 35 छत्तीसगढ़ में और 25 मध्य प्रदेश में स्थित हैं। इन 60 खदानों में से 40 अंडरग्राउंड (भूमिगत) हैं और बाकी ओपनकास्ट (खुली खदानें) हैं।

BILASPUR. The Government of India’s Swachhata Pakhwada was officially inaugurated at the SECL Headquarters with a pledge-taking ceremony. SECL CMD Shri Harish Duhan administered the Swachhata Pledge to a gathering of senior directors, department heads, officers, employees, and labor union representatives. In his address, Shri Duhan emphasized that cleanliness is a vital part of both institutional culture and social responsibility, stressing that the vision of a Swachh Bharat can only be realized through active public participation. Running until June 30, the fortnight-long campaign will feature extensive cleanliness drives, public awareness programs, and various participatory activities across all SECL units and establishments to promote hygiene practices and community involvement.

SECL CMD Harish Duhan Given Additional Charge of WCL CMD

NAGPUR. Govt of India has assigned Shri Harish Duhan, CMD of South Eastern Coalfields Limited, the additional charge of cMD of Western Coalfields Limited. The additional responsibility will be effective from February 1, 2026, for an initial period of three months or until further orders, whichever is earlier.

Shri Duhan has been serving as CMD of SECL since March 27, 2025, and has over 34 years of experience in the coal mining sector. Under his leadership, SECL has made notable progress in land acquisition, sustainable mining practices, quality coal production and women empowerment. He played a key role in introducing paste-fill technology in underground mines, expanding project land availability, and promoting inclusive workplaces. A mining engineering graduate from Nagpur University, Shri Duhan began his career with WCL in 1989 and has held several senior technical and managerial positions across Coal India subsidiaries.

श्री हरीश दुहन कोयला खनन क्षेत्र में 34 वर्षों से अधिक का व्यापक अनुभव रखते हैं। श्री दुहन ने वर्ष 1989 में वेस्टर्न कोलफील्ड्स लिमिटेड से कोल इंडिया लिमिटेड में अपनी सेवाओं की शुरुआत की। उनके पासफर्स्ट क्लास माइन मैनेजर सर्टिफिकेट तथा प्रबंधन में स्नातकोत्तर डिप्लोमा की उपाधि भी है।

एसईसीएल का सीएमडी बनने से पहले, श्री दुहन सेंट्रल कोलफील्ड्स लिमिटेड (सीसीएल) में निदेशकतकनीकी (संचालन) के रूप में कार्यरत थे। इसके अलावा, उन्होंने नॉर्दर्न कोलफील्ड्स लिमिटेड (एनसीएल) की निगाही परियोजना में एरिया जनरल मैनेजर तथा कॉर्पोरेट प्रोजेक्ट प्लानिंग विभाग के महाप्रबंधक केरूप में भी अपनी सेवाएं दी हैं।

श्री दुहन को पर्यावरण-हितैषी फर्स्ट माइल कनेक्टिविटी परियोजनाओं के कार्यान्वयन, डिजिटलीकरण तथासौर ऊर्जा परियोजनाओं के विकास में विशेष अनुभव प्राप्त है।
