SCCL, RVUNL sign MoU for setting up 3,100 MW thermal, solar power plants in Rajasthan

The Singareni Collieries Company Ltd (SCCL), as part of the Telangana government’s joint venture with the Rajasthan government, has decided to establish 1,500-megawatt capacity solar power plants and another 1,600 MW thermal plant in Rajasthan. Officials of SCCL and RVUNL sign MoU forming a JV for 3,100 MW power generation in Rajasthan at Jaipur on Monday as Rajashtan CM Bhajan Lal Sharma and Telangana Deputy CM M. Bhatti Vikramarkaand others look on.

Public Sectors establishes 16 Eco-Parks over last 5 years to promote tourism

To enhance the green cover in and around coalfields, PSUs such as Coal India Limited (CIL), NLC India Limited (NLCIL), and Singareni Collieries Company Limited (SCCL) have implemented innovative techniques alongside traditional methods of plantation.

Coal, and Lignite Public Sector Undertakings (PSUs) have established 16 eco-parks and mine tourism sites in and around coal mining areas over the past five years. These initiatives aim to promote environmental regeneration as well as tourism and recreational activities.

These include three-tier plantations, seed ball plantations, Miyawaki plantations, High-Tech cultivation, bamboo plantations, and plantations on overburden dumps using drip irrigation, etc.

Singareni Collieries CMD transferred, N Balram gets additional charge

Telangana Govt assigned the additional charge of CMD , SSto N Balram (IRS) who is working as Director (Finance) and (PA & W) in SCCL.

On completion of tenure as CMD of Singareni Collieries Company Limited (SCCL] senior IAS officer N Sridhar (1997: Telangana) returns and reports back to the General Administration Department, Government of Telangana.

Singareni becomes the top coal company by achieving an all-time record with a net profit of Rs. 2,222 crores in 2022-23

Mr. N. Sridhar CMD SCCL announced that Singareni has achieved an all-time record net profit of Rs.2,222 crores , with a turnover of Rs 33,065 crore in 2022-23 , the highest in its history.

Singareni is number one in terms of profit growth among Maharatna companies including Coal India. Power Grid Corporation is at the second position and Coal India is at the fourth position. Singareni is known as the best company by achieving maximum sales and profits even in adverse conditions.

Govt approves hike in wage of Coal India non-executive employees.

The agreement provides for a 19 percent of minimum guaranteed benefit from July 1, 2021, on emoluments – basic, Variable Dearness Allowance (VDA), Special Dearness Allowance (SDA) and attendance bonus besides a 25 per cent increase in allowances. The agreement will benefit around 2.81 lakh employees of CIL & SCCL.
