November 06, 2025 : Saudia, the national flag carrier of Saudi Arabia, participated at the World Travel Market 2025 (WTM), hosted in London, United Kingdom, from November 4 to 6. The event is one of the world’s leading travel and tourism events, bringing together industry leaders, decision-makers, and experts from around the globe.

Through its interactive pavilion (Stand No. S8-520), Saudia highlighted the key pillars of its ongoing transformation strategy, including fleet expansion, network growth, and enhanced guest experience. The airline also showcased its latest digital innovations designed to optimize operational efficiency and elevate the travel experience.

For the first time, visitors to the Saudia pavilion got the opportunity to explore a selection of products from “SV by Saudia”, the airline’s newly launched fashion and lifestyle brand introduced recently during Riyadh Fashion Week, a step that reflects Saudia’s commitment to showcasing Saudi creativity on the global stage.

As part of its presence, Saudia spotlighted the services of Saudia Hajj & Umrah, showcasing a new era of integrated offerings designed to elevate the pilgrimage experience, from planning the journey to every aspect of the spiritual visit.

Jeddah, Sunday, August 12, 2025 : Saudia, the national flag carrier of Saudi Arabia, has achieved growth in its operational performance for the first half of 2025, based to the latest performance report. The airline carried more than 17.5 million guests, marking a 7.2% increase compared to the same period in 2024.

This growth was supported by the operation of over 100,000 flights, including scheduled and additional services across its extensive network spanning four continents, representing a 4% increase. In total, Saudia recorded more than 293,500 flight hours during this period, while maintaining an exceptional on-time performance rate (OTP) of 89.6%. Notably, the airline ranked first worldwide for OTP in both March and June 2025, according to reports issued by Cirium, a leading global aviation analytics provider.

As part of its mission to bring the world to the Kingdom, Saudia transported over 9.6 million international guests in the first half of 2025, marking a 5% increase year-on-year. The increase was supported by the operation of more than 43,700 international flights, representing a 3% rise compared to the same period last year. On the domestic front, Saudia transported more than 7.9 million guests, reflecting a 10% increase, with over 56,400 domestic flights operated across the Kingdom. 

These achievements reflect the dedication and expertise of Saudia’s national workforce across all sectors, particularly in operations, planning, execution, and performance monitoring. The airline’s focus on enhancing quality and operational efficiency has been further strengthened through strategic investments in advanced digital systems, resulting in an improved guest experience.

Saudia’s current fleet of 148 aircraft underpins its strong operational performance across both domestic and international networks. Looking ahead, the planned addition of 117 new aircraft in the coming years will enable the airline to increase flight frequencies, expand seat capacity on existing routes, and introduce new international destinations. These advancements reinforce the Kingdom’s national priorities in tourism, entertainment, sports, and Hajj and Umrah services.

Jeddah: Saturday, January 04, 2025: Saudia, the national carrier of Saudi Arabia, proudly announces a significant milestone, ranking first globally in departure on-time performance (OTP) with a punctuality rate of 88.82%, according to a report by the independent aviation tracking site Cirium. Saudia achieved this distinction with a narrow margin of just 0.35% from the first place in arrival OTP. Complementing this achievement, Saudia also ranked second globally in arrival on-time performance, achieving a rate of 86.35%. Over the past 12 months, the airline successfully operated 192,560 flights across its network of over 100 destinations spanning four continents.

His Excellency Engr. Ibrahim Al-Omar, Director General of Saudia Group, commented: “We are proud to sustain excellence in global operational performance, which aligns with the objectives of the National Transport and Logistics Strategy and the National Aviation Sector Strategy. This achievement reflects the collective efforts of Saudia Group employees across all business units and highlights the integrated role played by various sectors in ensuring operational efficiency. These efforts are directly tied to enhancing and improving the guest experience.”

He added: “Throughout the year, our operational plans, especially during peak seasons, demonstrated our ability to overcome challenges while optimally utilizing resources, including our modern and expanding fleet and predictive digital systems powered by artificial intelligence, all of which contribute to on-time flight performance.”

In 2024, Saudia ranked first in On-Time Performance three times during the months of June, July, and November. The airline remains committed to upholding the highest standards of global quality and aviation safety while offering unique services, products, and initiatives aimed at enhancing the travel experience across all service touchpoints. Saudia continues to leverage the latest technologies and solutions in the aviation industry.

Currently, Saudia operates over 530 daily flights, connecting more than 100 destinations across four continents to the Kingdom with a modern fleet of 144 aircraft. This operation contributes to achieving the goals of Saudi Vision 2030, particularly in the sectors of tourism, entertainment, sports, and pilgrimage.

As part of its ambitious growth strategy, Saudia plans to expand its fleet with 130 new aircraft in the coming years, increasing both flight frequency and seat capacity to existing destinations while introducing new destinations to its network.
