										<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p><strong>NEW DELHI.</strong> Steel Authority of India Limited Management Training Institute and Management Development Institute, Gurgaon signed a Memorandum of Understanding at the SAIL Corporate Office in New Delhi on May 20, 2026, to collaborate on advanced Executive Education Programs. The agreement was signed by Sanjay Dhar, Executive Director of HR-L&amp;D at MTI, SAIL, and Professor Sumita Rai, Dean of Industry Connect at MDI, Gurgaon, in the presence of K. K. Singh, Director of Personnel, along with other senior executives from both organizations. This strategic partnership focuses on building future-ready leaders within SAIL by merging academic excellence with practical corporate application through customized leadership tracks, strategy and innovation-driven learning interventions, and overseas training modules.</p>
<p>The alliance highlights SAIL&#8217;s expanding emphasis on human capital development and organizational transformation as the global steel industry continues to adapt to rapid technological disruptions, strict sustainability goals, and evolving global competition. <p>A training programme on ‘AI@Work: SMART SAIL with Smart Skills for the Modern Workplace’ was organized at L&amp;D Department of SAIL, Rourkela Steel Plant (RSP) from 29<sup>th</sup> to 30<sup>th</sup>  December,2025. Mr. P K Sahoo. CGM (HR-L&amp;D) presided over the inaugural session. Mr. H Pati, GM (HR-L&amp;D) was also present on the occasion. In all 25 executives from different departments of the plant attended the programme. Mr. K K Sengupta, CGM (I&amp;A) and Mr. P K Sahoo, CGM (HR-L&amp;D) presided over the concluding session of the workshop and interacted with the participants.</p>

<p>The objective of the program was to enable executives to effectively leverage Artificial Intelligence tools for enhancing workplace productivity and efficiency. It aimed at equipping participants with practical knowledge to identify opportunities in day-to-day tasks where AI can improve efficiency, communication and decision-making. Executives handling data, MIS, presentations and reports participated in the programme. Key aspects covered in different sessions included prompt engineering and hands-on exposure to AI tools for daily productivity. The sessions emphasized practical application through real workplace scenarios, enabling participants to build their own personal AI toolkits.</p>

<p>The programme was conducted by Mr. Chandra Nath Kumar, Senior Manager (HR-L&amp;D), Academics, MTI, who also served as the faculty and facilitator. The interactive sessions and hands-on exercises were well received by the participants, contributing to enhanced awareness and confidence in using AI tools at the workplace.</p>
