Reaffirming its unwavering commitment to making healthcare accessible to the last mile, REC Limited, through its CSR arm, REC Foundation, has signed a Memorandum of Agreement with Vikas Bharti Bishunpur to strengthen primary healthcare delivery across Jharkhand. The agreement entails a CSR commitment of ₹1.68 crore for the procurement and deployment of three new Mobile Medical Units (MMUs) and their operational expenses for one year. The signing ceremony was attended by Shri Ashok Bhagat, Secretary, Vikas Bharti Bishunpur; Shri Jitendra Srivastava, Chairman and Managing Director, REC Limited; and senior officials from REC. The MMUs will act as a lifeline for remote and underserved communities, providing essential doorstep medical services to those with limited access to healthcare facilities.

Reaffirming its commitment to last-mile healthcare delivery, REC Limited, a Maharatna Central Public Sector Enterprise under the Ministry of Power, has signed a Memorandum of Agreement through its CSR arm, REC Foundation, with Vikas Bharti Bishunpur for the deployment of three new Mobile Medical Units (MMUs) in Jharkhand. With a CSR commitment of ₹1.68 crore covering procurement and one year of operations, these MMUs will provide essential medical services to remote and underserved communities across the state. The MoA signing ceremony on October 7, 2025, was attended by Shri Ashok Bhagat, Secretary, Vikas Bharti Bishunpur; Shri Jitendra Srivastava, Chairman and Managing Director, REC Limited; and senior officials from both organizations. This initiative underscores REC Foundation’s dedication to improving primary healthcare access, reducing health disparities, and enhancing the well-being of marginalized populations in Jharkhand.

Union Minister Shri Bhupender Yadav Flags Off REC’s ₹5.71 Crore Mobile Medical Units to Boost Rural Healthcare in Rajasthan

Alwar, October 6, 2025: In line with its mission to make quality healthcare accessible to the remotest communities, REC Limited has extended support of ₹5.71 crore under its CSR initiatives to the Indian Red Cross Society, Alwar, for the operation of five Mobile Medical Units (MMUs) over a period of three years.

The MMUs were flagged off on October 5, 2025, by Shri Bhupender Yadav, Hon’ble Union Minister of Environment, Forest & Climate Change, and Shri Sanjay Sharma, Hon’ble Minister of Environment, Forest & Climate Change and Science & Technology, Government of Rajasthan.

The ceremony was attended by the REC CSR team and Shri M. L. Meena, GM & HoD, along with senior dignitaries from the district administration and the Indian Red Cross Society.

Equipped with GPS-enabled tracking systems, these MMUs will bring essential healthcare services closer to communities across Alwar, Bhartari, and Behror-Kotpuli districts, covering some of the most underserved and tribal areas of Rajasthan. The initiative is expected to benefit over 10,000 people every month, offering free medical consultations, treatment, medicines, and preventive healthcare awareness.
