‘Roshni- Saksham Sathi’, a counselling workshop for spouses of retiring employees of Rourkela Steel Plant held

‘ROSHNI-Saksham Sathi’, a counseling workshop for the spouses of the employees retiring between April-June 2026 was organised at Civic Centre on 21^st February, 2026. Mr. Manas Ranjan Rath, CGM (HR) was the Chief Guest on the occasion while Mr. Santosh Padhi, GM In-Charge (SP-2) was the Guest of Honour.

Speaking on the occasion Mr. Rath encouraged the spouses to support and empathize with the retiring employees, helping them navigate the changes of post-retirement life for a smooth and positive transition.”

A session on “Mindset for smooth Transition to a new phase of life after Retirement” was conducted by Mr. Babula Nahak, AGM (SP-2), AGM (CP-2) while Mr. Raj Ranjan Sarangi, GM (F&A) deliberated on various aspects of Financial Security Planning. Mr. Purushottam Sahoo, DGM (TA-CSR) shared tips on Post Retirement Engagement while Dr. S Kumar, Additional CMO (OHSC) spoke about ‘Ensuring good health, well-being and holistic approach for a meaningful Life.’ The topic on National Pension Schene (NPS) ws dealt by Mr. S C Nayak, Deputy Manager (HR-ER&C).

Mr. S P Majhi, Assistant Manager (HR) welcomed the gathering while Mr. K K Parida, Labour Inspector proposed a formal vote of thanks. The workshop was co-ordinated by Mr. S C Nayak, with the support of and HR- ER&C team. It is noteworthy that the workshop is being held at regular intervals covering the spouses of the -to-be-retired employees.

‘ROSHNI-Saksham Sathi’, a counseling workshop for the spouses of the employees retiring between October to December 2025 was organised at Civic Centre on 22^nd September, 2025. Dr. G S Das, CGM (Internal Audit) was the Chief Guest on the occasion while Mr. P C Das, GM In-Charge (Environment Engineering) was the Guest of Honour.

Dr. Das, while addressing the gathering, thanked the participants for the steadfast support they have extended to their spouses. He urged them to carry this spirit forward into retirement, assisting their partners in embracing and adapting to this new stage of life.

Mr. Hiralal Mohapatra, CGM (Utilities & Environment) was the Chief Guest on the occasion while Mr. G R Dash, GM (HR- Proj., CLC, T & M) was the Guest of Honour.

Mr. Hiralal Mohapatra, CGM (Utilities & Environment) was the Chief Guest on the occasion while Dr. P K Sahoo, GM (HR- ED&C) was the Guest of Honour.

Speaking on the occasion Mr. Mohapatra thanked the participants for their consistent support to their spouses and urged them to continue the same during the post retirement period helping their better half to adjust to the new phase life.

Addressing the gathering Dr. Sahoo encouraged the spouses to understand and help the retiring employees to cope up with post retirement life changes for smooth transition.
