REC Limited has signed a Memorandum of Agreement with Career Forum to set up 20 smart classrooms in government schools across Alipurduar, West Bengal. Signed by REC Executive Director Shri Arun Kumar Tyagi and Career Forum Chairman Shri Anant Chauhan, this CSR initiative will benefit over 1,500 students. The project aims to strengthen digital education infrastructure in rural and tribal areas, promoting inclusive learning and bridging the digital divide.

]]> REC Limited provides Rs.4.22 Cr under CSR to establish 100 Smart Classrooms in Assam https://newsmantra.in/rec-limited-csr-100-smart-classrooms-assam/ Mon, 06 Jul 2026 12:00:23 +0000 https://newsmantra.in/?p=82603 Gurugram, July 3, 2026: Reinforcing its commitment to strengthening education infrastructure through Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), REC Limited has sanctioned ₹4.22 crore for the project, “Establishing 100 Smart Classrooms in 100 Government Schools in the Lakhimpur and Kaziranga regions of Assam.” The initiative aims to enhance the quality of education by integrating digital learning solutions into government schools and creating an engaging, technology-enabled learning environment for students.

A Memorandum of Agreement (MoA) for the project was signed on July 2, 2026, at REC Limited’s Corporate Office in Gurugram between Shri L. B. Nautiyal, HoD (CSR), REC Limited, and Shri B. Vinod Kumar, Director, Indo German Institute of Advanced Technology (IGIAT). The signing ceremony was held in the presence of Shri Arun Kumar Tyagi, Executive Director (CSR), REC Limited, and other officials from REC Limited and IGIAT.

Through its CSR initiatives, REC Limited continues to make meaningful investments in education, healthcare, skill development, environmental sustainability, and community development, contributing to inclusive and sustainable socio-economic growth across the country.
