Pralhad Joshi says Rs 32.45 lakh crore finance pledged for renewables sector

Union New & Renewable Energy Minister Pralhad Joshi urged investors to invest in India saying that Rs. 32.45 lakh crore finance in green projects has been committed by banks and financial institutions. Addressing the inaugural session of the 4th RE-INVEST 2024, Mr. Joshi said, “we have received overwhelming commitments from the states and UTs as well as from developers, manufacturers and financial institutions to support our goal of 500 GW by 2030.” He informed that developers have committed an additional 570 GW of capacity addition.

Shri R.K. Chaudhary, CMD, NHPC, inaugurated the NHPC pavilion at RE Invest 2024 being organized by MNRE, IREDA & CII from 16th to 18th September 2024 in Gandhinagar, Gujarat. Shri V.R. Shrivastava, ED, REGH, Shri U.S. Sahi, ED (CC) along with other NHPC officers were also present on the occasion. The pavilion showcases NHPC’s achievements and capabilities with a special emphasis on its interventions in Renewable Energy Development.
