RVNL CMD Saleem Ahmad Given Additional Charge of IRCON

NEW DELHI: Shri Saleem Ahmad, Chairman and Managing Director (CMD) of Rail Vikas Nigam Limited (RVNL), has been entrusted with the additional charge of Chairman and Managing Director (CMD) of IRCON International Limited (IRCON) for a period of one year with effect from July 1, 2026. The appointment comes as IRCON continues to execute major rail, transport and infrastructure projects across India and overseas.

A seasoned railway professional with extensive experience in project execution, infrastructure development and public sector leadership, Ahmad is expected to provide continuity in leadership while supporting IRCON’s growth and strategic priorities. The move reflects the government’s continued emphasis on strengthening leadership across key public sector enterprises that are playing a critical role in India’s infrastructure modernisation and connectivity initiatives.

The Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) has launched a wholly owned subsidiary, Delhi Metro International Limited (DMIL), to serve as its dedicated commercial arm for bidding on transit projects both within India and internationally. In alignment with this strategic expansion, the corporation has initiated a recruitment drive to identify and secure suitable professionals to support its current and upcoming global bidding pipeline and operational requirements.

The PESB panel has recommended the name of Nirmal Kumar Singh for the post of Director (Finance) of Mahanadi Coalfields Limited (MCL)

He has been recommended MCL’s Director (Finance) post by the Public Enterprises Selection Board (PESB) panel on Wednesday. Presently, he is serving as Chief General Manager at Steel Authority of India Limited (SAIL).

An officer of the Indian Railway Service of Engineers (IRSE), Singh is currently serving as Executive Director and Chief Engineer (Bridges & Structures) at the Railway Board and has assumed additional charge as Director (Projects) alongside his existing responsibilities, until further orders. A Civil Engineering graduate from IIT Roorkee (1998), he joined Indian Railways in 2000 and brings over 26 years of extensive experience in railway infrastructure development.
