Laxmikant Deshmukh, one of the representatives expressed that the country needs a leader who will protect the freedom of expression, and under whose regime they will not feel threatened to write freely about the issues that face the country. Someone who will protect the pen culture and condemn the gun culture. He praised Mr. Gandhi’s courage to name the RSS categorically for their role in spreading hatred and threatening the Constitution.

Responding to Rahul Gandhi’s question the representatives said that Shudra means one who works with their hands for productive work. However, there was strong resonance about the negativity attached to the word and the fact that the word came to prevalence owing to Manusmriti.

When Mr. Gandhi asked “As I am doing the yatra for the past 66 days, meeting thousands of children on the roads and I ask them a question- What do you want to become? I get nothing beyond five answers — IAS, Government job, Doctor, Engineer or Army. Why is it so far that only two children answered beyond these 5 categories?”

“Why should there be lack of honor in doing productive work with your hands that adds to the development of the country, of humanity?” Said a concerned Rahul Gandhi as he cited the example of a young girl who broke into tears when she awoke to the reality that there are only 150 appointments of IAS officers every year contrary to her belief that they were a lakh per year. Inferring that honor is earned when dreams see the light of the day, he added that the only solution to all the issues raised by the delegation was to reverse the attitude that producing with own hands is a bad thing.

Triggering a debate worth delving in with the who’s who of the literary world of Maharashtra, Rahul Gandhi went on to join the evening leg of the yatra at kalamnoori, the land of sufi saint Noori, on Saturday, the 66th day of the yatra. The yatris will rest and rejuvenate on November 13th — a rest day for the Bharat Jodo Yatra.

The Bharat Jodo Yatra has brought in a fresh wave of enthusiasm amongst the party workers and the people of Maharashtra inspiring lakhs of people from all over the state to walk in the Yatra. On the 63rd morning, the Yatra resumed from Shankargaon proceeding to Naigaon. On the way, Rahul Gandhi interacted with Koli community leaders who came all the way from Mumbai and discussed issues such as encroachment and CRZ violation. Rahul Gandhi also met the members of the cooperative societies (sugar, milk, banking and textile mills) and a delegation of unorganized sector workers during the afternoon break.

Amongst the major issues raised were the lack of support to the cooperatives from the government which is a major factor for the cooperative sector being in the verge of collapse, the increase in cyber crime after demonetization, a dysfunctional ethanol policy that needs amendment to support the most profitable crop for farmers—sugarcane. They also demanded a more robust export policy and simplified tax framework. The delegates apprehended that implementing the new cooperatives policy that enables the central government to enter into the rural as well as urban sector of cooperatives is bound to sabotage the sector which is essentially decentralized and driven from the state and the districts.

They also indicated that an inclusive policy would encourage the youngsters to consider farming as a career.
The representatives collectively blamed demonetisation as a demonizing step for the country and damaging to democracy.
The representatives of the unorganised sector raised the issues of equal wages for equal work, Minimum wages, inability of the govt to give minimum wages, breach of guarantee under article 21 of the constitution of India, while the schemes provided by the government are not being delivered to the stakeholder.

Responding to the concerns, Rahul Gandhi highlighted the NYAY scheme announced earlier by the Congress in 2019 that guarantees minimum annual income for every poor family of Rs. 72000. He also laid special emphasis on Mathadi Act. Expressing gratitude to the delegations for voicing their concerns, He said that the demonetisation was not only a mistake but also part of the BJP’s strategy to confine power and money to the pockets of a few, just like GST that was imposed upon the country, because the BJP wants to finish the MSME sector. He highlighted that this strategy of the BJP gives rise to poverty unemployment, inflation and hinders the development of our nation.

Amidst thousands of tricolors, Rahul Gandhi along with Bharat Yatris, Pradesh Yatris and many others walked a total of 24 kms on Wednesday, concluding the day at Vajirgaon Phata.

During an interactive session at the ‘Ideas for India’ conference in London, he made a scathing attack on the BJP government alleging the “deep state” in India is attacking institutions and capturing them such as the media

Alleging that people’s voices are being stifled, Gandhi said the Congress will reach out to the masses and fight to save ‘the idea of India’

The former Congress chief asserted his party will coordinate with regional outfits to launch a nationwide movement against the ruling dispensation and will reach out to the people in a big way

“We have to coordinate with our friends in the opposition. I don’t view the Congress as the ‘Big Daddy’. It is a group effort with the opposition. But it is a fight to regain India,” he said at the conclave

“The point I made in Udaipur, which was misconstrued, is that this is an ideological battle now. It is a national ideological battle, which means that of course we respect the DMK as a Tamil political organisation, but the Congress is the party that has the ideology at the national level,” Gandhi said

So, the Congress will have to think about itself as a structure that is enabling the opposition, he said during the hour-long interaction

“In no way is the Congress superior to the other opposition parties, we are all fighting the same battle. They have their space, we have ours, but an ideological battle is taking place is between the national vision of the RSS and that of the Congress,” Gandhi added

Gandhi’s remarks on regional parties, which came in the presence of opposition leaders like Sitaram Yechury and Tejashvi Yadav, are in contrast to his comments at the Congress’ three-day ‘Chintan Shivir’ in Udaipur

There he had said that it is only the Congress that can fight the BJP at the national level and regional outfits cannot fight this battle as they do not have an ideology

अंदर की कहानी ये है कि हार्दिक पटेल जब से कार्याध्यक्ष बनाये गये उसके बाद से ही कांग्रेस में खुद को अकेला पा रहे थे लेकिन उनकी मुश्किलें पिछले साल उस समय से और बढ़ गयी जब लोकल बाडी चुनाव में उनके समर्थकों को टिकट ही नही दिया गया. सबसे बड़ा झगड़ा हुआ सूरत में टिकट को लेकर जब उस समय के गुजरात प्रभारी और अब दिवंगत राजीव सातव ने अपने तरीके से हार्दिक को साइडलाइन करना शुरु किया . करोना काल में केवल सातीव ही ऐसे कांग्रेसी थे जो लगातार राहुल गांधी से मिल रहे थे . राजीव सातव ,के सी वेणुगोपाल और शक्तिसिंह गोहिल की तिकड़ी ने राहुल गांधी के ऐसे कान भरे कि राहुल ने हार्दिक को तरजीह देना बंद कर दिया .इसके बाद हार्दिक ने प्रियंका गांधी से करीबी बढाने की अपील की लेकिन वो भी हार्दिक को न्याय नहीं दिला सकी और आखिर में जब चार महीने पहले से प्रशांत किशोर ने सलाह देना शुरु किया तो राहुल को ये समझा दिया कि हार्दिक की कोई बखत नहीं और प्रशांत किशोर ने खोडियार धाम के प्रमुख नरेश पटेल जो खुद भी पाटीदारों के नेता है उनको बढाया .हार्दिक को लग गया कि अगर नरेश पटेल कांग्रेस में आ गये तो पाटीदारों के नेता नरेश पटेल होंगे हार्दिक नहीं .आखिरकार कांग्रेस की आपसी खींचतान के बीच दो महीने पहले जब बीजेपी के एक बड़े नेता ने हार्दिक से संपर्क किया तो हार्दिक को कांग्रेस छोड़ने के फायदे बताये गये . फिर हार्दिक के ऊपर चल रहे केस हटना शुरु हो गये और उनके जाने की भूमिका बन गयी. ये तभी हो गया था कि हार्दिक जायेंगे लेकिन राहुल ने ये अवसर भी गंवा दिया.

हार्दिक भले जा रहे थे लेकिन राहुल को सार्वजनिक तौर पर उनको बुलाकर मिलना चाहिये था और ये दिखाना था कि कांग्रेस को  हार्दिक की जरुरत है और तब हार्दिक जाते तो कहने को हो जाता कि वो तो बीजेपी के ट्रेप में चले गये . तब हार्दिक उपेक्षा का आरोपभी नहीं लगा पाते लेकिन राहुल के दरबार की हालत ये है कि कोई भी तेजतर्रार नेता को उनके दरबारी टिकने ही नहीं देते. आसाम के हेमंत विश्वशर्मा से लेकर हार्दिक तक ये फेरहिस्त लंबी है.

अब जाहिर है गुजरात चुनाव में कांग्रेस की मुश्किलों काअंत नहीं . एक तरफ तो अहमद पटेल जैसा अनुभवी नेता नहीं दूसरा अब कांग्रेस के पास कोई बड़ा चेहरा नहीं जिसकी दम पर वो सरकार बनाने का विकल्प भी दे सके . नरेश पटेल आ गये तो अलग बात लेकिन पार्टी की अंदरुनी लड़ाई तो उनका भी रास्ता रोक सकती है. .

The party decided to remove Jakhar from all party posts for two years a fortnight ago on the recommendation of the disciplinary action committee. The Congress leader had since then been considering his political options.

Earlier on Saturday, he went live on Facebook with his ‘dil ki baat’, following which he dropped Congress from his social media handles.

Jakhar had accused the Congress high command of listening to a certain Punjab leader on the matter of the CM’s appointment after Captain Amarinder Singh’s departure. He said even after three generations of his family had served in Congress for 50 years, he was “stripped of all party posts” for “not toeing the party line.”

In March, Jakhar had called former chief minister Charanjit Singh Channi a liability for the party after the Congress had lost to the Aam Aadmi Party in the Assembly elections. “Not the top brass, but his [Channi’s] own greed pulled him and the party down,” Jakhar had said in a tweet.

Some party leaders, including former minister Raj Kumar Verka, had demanded action against him after accusing Jakhar of using objectionable language against Channi and the scheduled caste community during a TV interview. But Jakhar had rejected the charge saying his statement was twisted and taken out of context

A party leader familiar with the matter also said that they would not go “blindly” into an alliance and cited Gandhi’s recent announcement in Telangana that the party would contest alone in the southern state.

To strengthen its position against the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), as well as among Opposition parties, the Congress will launch a mass campaign on issues such as inflation, economic mismanagement due to demonetisation and faulty GST laws, communal polarisation, and delimitation in J&K, the leader said.

The Congress is no stranger to Chintan Shivirs. But for the first time, it will set time-bound steps for organisational overhaul, identify issues, and prepare action-plans — all aimed at the 2024 general elections.

meanwhile Congress chief Sonia Gandhi on Friday launched a blistering attack on Prime Minister Narendra Modi, charging that it has become clear that his mantra of ‘minimum government, maximum governance’ means keeping the country in a permanent state of polarisation, “brutalising” minorities and “threatening” political opponents.

In her inaugural address at the party’s ‘Chintan Shivir’ here, she urged delegates to deliberate with an open mind and send out a clear message of strong organisation and unity.

She said the Shivir is also an occasion to deliberate on the many challenges ahead of us and bring organisational changes.

“It is both ‘Chintan’ about national issues and meaningful ‘aatmachintan’ (self-introspection) about our party organisation,” she said.

Gandhi charged that it has become “painfully clear” what Prime Minister Modi and his colleagues really meany by their frequently used slogan of maximum governance, minimum government.

पांच राज्यों के चुनाव नतीजों ने कांग्रेस के अप्रासंगिक होने का खतरा पैदा कर दिया है अब ये सवाल उठने लगा है कि कहीं कांग्रेस की हालत लेफ्ट की तरह तो नहीं हो जायेगी जो सिर्फ विचारधारा की बात करेगी लेकिन सत्ता और जनता की राजनीति से दूर हो जायेगी . खतरा गांधी परिवार की ब्रैंड वैल्यू पर भी है कि कहीं लोग ये न कहने लगे कि अब गांधी के बिना भी कांग्रेस चल सकती है . सबसे बड़े सवाल तो राहूुल गांधी पर होगे जिनकी टीम फ्लाप हो गयी . अब राहुल को फिर  से अध्यक्ष बनना कांटो पर चलना होगा .

कांग्रेस का चुनाव प्रबंधन . सिदधू जैसे मसखरे पर दांव लगाना ,टिकटों का बेचा जाना और चुनाव मेंं केवल राहुल प्रियंका के प्रचार पर फोकस करना सब सवाल उठेंगे . साफ है कि अब केवल कुछ नेताओं को हटा देने से बात नहीं बनेगी अब तो पूरा घर ही बदलना होगा .

कांग्रेस ने पांच राज्यों के विधानसभा चुनावों में पार्टी के निराशाजनक प्रदर्शन को लेकर कहा कि वह इस जनादेश से सबक लेगी और आत्मचिंतन करते हुए नए बदलाव एवं रणनीति के साथ सामने आएगी।

पार्टी अध्यक्ष सोनिया गांधी ने जल्द ही कांग्रेस कार्य समिति की बैठक बुलाने का फैसला किया है, जिसमें चुनावी हार के कारणों पर मंथन होगा।

उत्तर प्रदेश, पंजाब, गोवा, मणिपुर और उत्तराखंड के विधानसभा चुनावों के जो नतीजे आए हैं, इससे भी अगर सबक नहीं लिया तो कांग्रेस का कोई कुछ भी नहीं कर सकता। ये नतीजे कांग्रेस के नेतृत्व, कांग्रेस के नेताओं, कांग्रेस के संगठन, कांग्रेस की चुनावी रणनीति, चुनावी प्रबंधन सभी पर समग्रता से विमर्श और मंथन की जरूरत बता रहे हैं। खास कर पंजाब, गोवा और उत्तराखंड के परिणाम कांग्रेस के लिए मीमांसा और मंथन का विषय है।

तीस साल से उत्तर प्रदेश की सत्ता से दूर कांग्रेस का इस चुनाव में अब तक का सबसे कमजोर प्रदर्शन सामने आया है। पूर्व प्रधानमंत्री इंदिरा गांधी की हत्या के बाद 1985 के चुनाव में कांग्रेस ने 39 प्रतिशत से ज्यादा वोट हासिल कर 269 सीटें जीती थी। नारायण दत्त तिवारी इसके अंतिम मुख्यमंत्री थे। तब से अब तक पार्टी का जनाधार गिरता जा रहा है। 1989 में यह मत प्रतिशत गिर कर 28 और 1991 में 18 पहुंच गया। इसके बाद प्रदेश कांग्रेस दृश्य से बाहर होती चली गई। 2017 में दहाई से नीचे जा गिरी और इस बार पांच सीट का आंकड़ा भी पार नहीं कर पाई। जो जीते, वे अपने दम पर जीते। पार्टी की भूमिका उनकी जीत में लगभग शून्य है। गांधी परिवार अपने गढ़ अमेठी और रायबरेली को भी नहीं बचा सका। पिछले चुनाव में रायबरेली की दो सीटें कांग्रेस जीती भी थी, जो अब भाजपा के पास जा चुकी है।

दीवाली के समय में जब लोग मिठाई खरीदने निकलते हैं तो ये जरुर ध्यान रखते है कि किसकी मिठाई अच्छी है लेकिन लगता है कि कांग्रेस की बस ऊंची दुकान बची है असल में तो उसके सारे पकवान अब फीके हो गये हैं. लगता है कि कांग्रेस की मिठाई बनाने वाले सारे कारीगर भाग गये हैं और मालिक बनकर बैठा गांधी परिवार अब भी धरोहर के नोस्टाल्जिया में जी रहा है .बिहार चुनाव का सबसे बड़ा नुकसान अगर किसी को हुआ है तो वो कांग्रेस को ही हुआ है. तेजस्वी के महागठबंधन में कांग्रेस सबसे कमजोर कडी साबित हुयी और अब कांग्रेस ने चुनाव ही नहीं अपनी साख गंवा दी है. कांग्रेस अब ऐसा बोझ बन गयी जिसे कोई भी मजबूत दल शायद ही अपने साथ रखना चाहेगा . कम से कम उत्तरप्रदेश के बाद बिहार में कांग्रेस के साथ गठबंधन ने बता दिया जहां विकल्प हो वहां कांग्रेस को छोड देना चाहिये .सबसे बड़ा नुकसान उस कार्यकर्ता और नेता का भी हुआ जो सोच रहा था कि पार्टी में कुछ संभावना

है .

बिहार में पार्टी ने लडकर 70 सीटें मांगी और केवल 19 सीट जीती जबकि पिछली बार 40 में से 27 जीती थी . अब कांग्रेस कहेगी कि राहुल गांधी की कोई गलती नहीं बिहार में तो संगठन ही नहीं था . यानि राहुल की पालकी ढोते रहेंगे . संगठन नहीं है तो बनाना चाहिये था. उत्तरप्रदेश में तो प्रियंका के पास कमान है फिर भी उम्मीदवार की जमानत जब्त हो गयी. गुजरात में राहुल के खास राजीव सातव के पास कमान है फिर भी सब हार गये. मध्यप्रदेश में कमलनाथ की लीडरशिप के बाद भी दिग्विजय ने पलीता लगा दिया .अब वहां भी कोई संभावना नहीं. तो आखिर कब तक राहुल दूसरों  पर ठीकरा फोडते रहेंगें.

इसका सबसे पहला असर अब महाराष्ट्र में देखने मिलेगा . कांग्रेस के कई विधायक पार्टी छोडने तैयार बैठे हैं . बीजेपी भी सरकार बनाने के बजाय गिराने पर जोर देगी ताकि चुनाव होंगे. चुनाव हुये तो एनसीपी और शिवसेना मिल  जायेगी लेकिन कांग्रेस को 100 सीट देकर खराब नहीं करेंगी. जाहिर है कांग्रेस सबसे बडे नुकसान में रहेगी . डर तो ये है कि कहीं कांग्रेस का हाल अजीत सिंह और उनके बेटे की तरह न हो जाये जो अब भी खुद को बड़ा नेता मानते हैं.

कांग्रेस को अगली बडी चुनौती बंगाल में है जहां वो लेफ्ट के साथ जा रही है लेकिन इससे फायदे के बजाय नुकसान ही होगा तो दूसरा असम में एआईयूडीएफ के साथ जाकर बीजेपी को पोलराईजेशन का मौका दे रही है . राहुल फिर से अध्यक्ष बनने को तैयार है लेकिन उनकी हालत आखिरी मुगल बादशाह बहादुर शाह जफर की तरह हो रही है जहां बस किला रहेगा लेकिन उसके बाहर कुछ नहीं .अब भी वक्त है राहुल अपनी वर्किंग स्टाईल पर सोचे और बदलें .सबसे पहले तो हर काम में दखल और कोटरी की राजनीती छोडें. पार्टी में पारदर्शिता लायें और उम्मीदवार चयन का कोई सही मैकेनिजम बनाये .अब मामला आपरेशन का है गोली देकर काम नहीं चलने वाला .

Prime Minister Narendra Modi, addressing his first rally said if Bihar’s Nitish Kumar government were not allowed to work fast during 10 years of UPA govt in center .

He also “If Bihar had not acted fast, the pandemic would have killed many, many more. It would have been unimaginable mayhem. But today Bihar, having battled Covid, is now celebrating the festival of democracy,”

He also attacked the opposition Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD), saying before the Nitish Kumar-led National Democratic Alliance (NDA), Bihar had suffered crime and corruption.

Congress parliamentarian Rahul Gandhi is also set to hit the ground for the three-phase elections which begin next Wednesday. He will address two rallies at Hisua in Nawada and Kahalgaon in Bhagalpur district.

Bihar will vote in three phases on October 28, November 3 and 7 for a new government and the results will be announced on November 10.
