SCOPE – ICF, USA launch unique study for Coaching framework for Indian PSEs

SCOPE and International Coaching Federation (ICF), USA launched first of its kind comprehensive study on “State of Coaching in Indian PSEs” to understand the current coaching landscape and organizational culture. It aims to develop a unique framework for the Indian Public Sector to integrate coaching and develop internal coaching capabilities within PSEs. The study will follow both primary and secondary data collection techniques to lead to an evidence-based strategic framework for coaching.

Leveraging the collective expertise of SCOPE, the apex body of PSEs and ICF, the world’s leading association for the advancement of coaching performance, this evidence-based study aims to redefine leadership excellence in Indian PSEs, with focus on building internal coaching capabilities and specialized tools. Shri Prasanna Kumar Motupalli, Chairman and Managing Director of NLC India Limited, has been conferred the “Pride of Telangana” Award at the 4th Telangana Public Relations Conference and National Public Relations Day celebrations organised by Public Relations Society of India, Hyderabad Chapter, on April 19, 2026, in Hyderabad. The award was presented by K. Sreenivas Reddy and Ch. Priyanka, Special Commissioner, Information and Public Relations Department, Government of Telangana, along with K. NEW DELHI. As per recent indications, the selection of the next CMD of NTPC Limited will be routed through the Search-cum-Selection Committee (SCSC) process. This follows a notification from the Public Enterprises Selection Board (PESB) inviting applications for the top post at the Maharatna power utility.

The Last date for application is March 28, 2026.

The Search-cum-Selection Committee holds the strategic right to shortlist applicants for interviews in alignment with extant government guidelines. Furthermore, the committee is empowered to proactively make nominations of eligible and highly qualified candidates to ensure the best leadership for the organization.

The tenure of the incumbent CMD, Gurdeep Singh, is nearing its conclusion. Mr. Singh was originally scheduled to serve until July 31, 2025, but was granted a one-year extension that keeps him at the helm until July 31, 2026. This shift to the SCSC route provides the govt with the flexibility to evaluate a wider pool of talent from both the public and private sectors to lead India’s largest integrated power producer.
