Dr. Mahendra Kumar, Joint Secretary, Ministry of Labour & Employment, said the consolidation of labour laws into four comprehensive Labour Codes aims to simplify, modernise and bring greater transparency to the labour regulatory framework while balancing labour rights with ease of doing business. SCOPE Chairman Dr. K.P. Mahadevaswamy emphasised the importance of continued dialogue among the government, employers and employees for effective implementation of the reforms.

SCOPE Director General Atul Sobti highlighted the significance of the Labour Codes for PSEs, considering their large workforce, and reaffirmed SCOPE’s engagement with the Ministry to support their implementation. Senior officials, subject matter experts and the Deloitte team provided technical guidance and addressed participants’ queries. The workshop formed part of SCOPE’s ongoing capacity-building initiatives to help PSEs navigate the transition to the new labour law framework.
