SECL CMD Harish Duhan Given Additional Charge of WCL CMD

NAGPUR. Govt of India has assigned Shri Harish Duhan, CMD of South Eastern Coalfields Limited, the additional charge of cMD of Western Coalfields Limited. The additional responsibility will be effective from February 1, 2026, for an initial period of three months or until further orders, whichever is earlier.

Shri Duhan has been serving as CMD of SECL since March 27, 2025, and has over 34 years of experience in the coal mining sector. Under his leadership, SECL has made notable progress in land acquisition, sustainable mining practices, quality coal production and women empowerment. He played a key role in introducing paste-fill technology in underground mines, expanding project land availability, and promoting inclusive workplaces. A mining engineering graduate from Nagpur University, Shri Duhan began his career with WCL in 1989 and has held several senior technical and managerial positions across Coal India subsidiaries.

Ms Nivedita Dubey has assumed charge as Member (Human Resources), the second-highest position in the Airports Authority of India (AAI), becoming the first woman officer to be inducted into the AAI Board. Her appointment marks a historic milestone in the Indian aviation sector and has been widely welcomed.

A native of Prayagraj, Dubey joined AAI in 1995 as a management trainee and has served in several key leadership roles. An alumna of Allahabad University and MONIRBA, she has been widely appreciated for her tenure as airport manager at Indira Gandhi International Airport and for successfully turning around loss-making airports during her term as Regional Executive Director of the Eastern Region.
