SJVN bags 5 Hydro Projects of 5097 MW in Arunachal Pradesh

Government of Arunachal Pradesh has allotted five projects of 5097 MW to SJVN. All the allocated projects are situated in tributaries of Dibang River. The allocated projects are 3097 MW Etalin, 680 MW Attunli, 500MW Emini, 420 Amulin and 400 MW Mihumdon.

Sh. Nand Lal Sharma, CMD , SJVN informed that 3097 MW Etalin and 680 MW Attunli were earlier allocated to private players as there was no physical progress in both the projects the projects are now have been allotted to SJVN. In addition to SJVN projects are also been allocated to other central public sector understandings namely NEEPCO, NHPC and THDC.

NHPC will focus on solar power

PESB selects Shri Shanmugha Sundram for Director (Projects), NTPC limited

PESB recommended the Name of Shri. SHANMUGHA SUNDARAM, for the post of Director (Projects), NTPC limited. At present he is holding the position of ED, NTPC and posted as Head of Project at NTPC Kaniha, Odisha. Out of 11 candidates, 6 candidates were from NTPC and one each from NHPC Limited, SJVN Limited, Power Grid, Indian Railways Service of Mechanical Engineers (IRSME) and Indian Railways Service of Electrical Engineering (IRSEE).

The Director’s (Projects) post in NTPC will fall vacant on December 1.

Currently, Shri Ujjwal Kanti Bhattacharya is serving as Director (Projects) of NTPC and he is likely to superannuate in November 2023.

PM Modi: Centre approved projects worth Rs two lakh crore for Maharashtra

The central government has given a nod to projects worth Rs two lakh crore for Maharashtra said, PM Narendra Modi on Thursday.

His statement comes in the wake of the Eknath Shinde-Devendra Fadnavis government coming under the Opposition`s fire after some proposed big-ticket projects moved out of Maharashtra to poll-bound Gujarat and some other states.

In a video message aired during the Maharashtra government`s function held here for distribution of appointment letters as part of recruitment of 75,000 people, Modi said the state government`s initiative was fulfilling the objective of employment generation.

“The Centre has approved projects worth Rs two lakh crore for Maharashtra, which will create new opportunities for employment,” he said.

The state government has been drawing flak from the opposition after a consortium of European aviation firm Airbus and the Tata group selected Vadodara in

Gujarat for a Rs 22,000-crore project to manufacture military aircraft.

The opposition has also been lashing out at the Shinde government for Maharashtra losing out on Vedanta-Foxconn`s Rs 1.54 lakh crore semiconductor plant, earlier proposed to come up in Pune district. The project was moved to Gujarat in September.
