CBC-GSV Conclave Focuses on Excellence in Project and Asset Management for Viksit Bharat

New Delhi: The Capacity Building Commission (CBC), in collaboration with Gati Shakti Vishwavidyalaya (GSV), successfully organised the third edition of the Bharat CPSEs’ Consultative Conclave 2026 from July 23 to 25 on the theme “Excellence in Project & Asset Management for Viksit Bharat.” A joint initiative of the CBC and the Department of Public Enterprises under the Ministry of Finance, with GSV as the strategic knowledge partner, the conclave brought together senior leaders from Central Public Sector Enterprises (CPSEs), government, industry and academia to promote excellence in project execution and infrastructure development. Dr. Alka Mittal, Member (Administration), CBC, described public servants as “Nation Builders” and stressed the importance of converting ideas into measurable outcomes through effective planning and knowledge sharing.

Addressing the conclave, GSV Vice Chancellor Prof. (Dr.) Manoj Choudhary highlighted the growing importance of resilient supply chains, artificial intelligence-driven project management and the PM Gati Shakti initiative in building world-class infrastructure. Chief Guest Dr. Mangu Singh, former Managing Director of DMRC, emphasised timely decision-making, empowered leadership and sound contract management as critical factors for successful project delivery, while Guest of Honour Shri Moses Chalai, Secretary, Department of Public Enterprises, underlined the role of technology, visionary leadership, efficient manpower management and collaboration in achieving the vision of Viksit Bharat. The event also featured mentoring sessions by former BHEL CMD Shri Nalin Shinghal and former ONGC Director (Production) Shri Pankaj Kumar.

NEYVELI. Shri Prasanna Kumar Motupalli relinquished the office of the Chairman and Managing Director (CMD) of NLC India Limited (NLCIL) on June 30, 2026, upon the successful completion of his tenure. Having assumed charge on January 12, 2023, his three and a half years at the helm marked a highly transformative phase for the company. Through visionary leadership and strategic direction, he guided NLCIL to new milestones across its mining, power generation, and renewable energy sectors, significantly enhancing operational performance, financial strength, and project execution.

Under his leadership, NLCIL aggressively expanded its green footprint by launching initiatives in Green Hydrogen, Battery Energy Storage Systems, and Pumped Storage Projects, while also venturing into the critical minerals sector to secure long-term assets. This clear focus on sustainable growth and energy transition resulted in an unprecedented rise in market capitalization, reflecting deeply reinforced trust from investors, financial institutions, and business partners. Long-pending projects were expedited, and a strong culture of project management excellence, mine productivity, and digital transformation was successfully established.

Beyond business growth, Shri Motupalli emphasized safety, environmental sustainability, employee welfare, and community development. His dedication to fostering a safety-first culture and team innovation boosted workforce morale and earned the company numerous prestigious national and international accolades. In his farewell address, he expressed deep gratitude to the workforce and voiced his absolute confidence that NLCIL’s strong institutional foundation would enable it to continue driving India’s energy security and sustainable development under future leadership.
