The event featured high-ranking officials including Ministry of Coal Additional Secretaries Smt. Rupinder Brar and Shri Sanoj Kumar Jha, alongside Coal India Chairman Shri B. Sairam and Director (HR) Dr. Vinay Ranjan. Smt. Brar emphasized that women no longer need to prove their equality and urged for policies that foster participation without seeking special concessions, while Shri Jha and Dr. Ranjan highlighted the shifting landscape of mining, where women are now excelling in strategic, high-stakes roles.

Chairman Sairam further noted that women are redefining the industry as leaders and innovators, supported by Coal India’s commitment of ₹100 crore toward CSR-led women’s empowerment initiatives over the past five years.

The celebration also featured intellectual engagement through a keynote address by motivational speaker Priya Kumar on the role of women in shaping a “Viksit Bharat.” This was complemented by a panel discussion featuring women mining engineers who explored how inclusion and innovation are driving the future of the nation’s mineral sector. The event, which concluded with a vote of thanks by CVO Shri Brajesh Kumar Tripathy, served as a platform to encourage women to move beyond the fear of failure and strive for greater professional heights. By highlighting these achievements, Coal India underscored its mission to sensitize the workforce and create an environment where women are recognized as a vital force in nation-building.
