NEW DELHI. NLC India Limited (NLCIL), has handed over an interim dividend of Rs.360 Crore to the Government of India for the Financial Year 2025–26.

The dividend cheque was presented on 18th February 2026 by Shri Prasanna Kumar Motupalli, Chairman & Managing Director, NLC India Limited, to the Hon’ble Minister for Coal & Mines, Shri G. Kishan Reddy, in the presence of Shri. Sanoj Kumar Jha, Additional Secretary, Ministry of Coal towards the Government of India’s shareholding in the Company. The Hon’ble Minister for Coal & Mines appreciated NLC India Limited for its improved financial and physical performance, recognizing the Company’s sustained growth momentum and operational excellence.

NLC India and NALCO Partner for 1,200 MW Power Expansion

In a strategic move to bolster energy security, Navratna CPSEs NLC India Limited (NLCIL) and National Aluminium Company Limited (NALCO) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to develop 1,200 MW of thermal and renewable energy projects. This collaboration, formalised in the presence of top leadership including NLCIL CMD Shri Prasanna Kumar Motupalli and NALCO Director (Projects & Technical) Shri Jagdish Arora, aims to provide sustainable and cost-effective power solutions to meet NALCO’s long-term captive requirements. By combining their expertise in coal-based generation and green energy, the two entities under the Ministries of Coal and Mines are set to strengthen India’s industrial energy infrastructure through this joint venture.

This free dedicated transportation facility would ensure that the special students coming from peripheral villages can commute safely and conveniently.

NLC India Ltd plans to monetize at least Rs 8,000 crore worth of its renewable energy assets in the next financial year (2025).The Government has no plan for its divestment as of now, Prasanna Kumar Motupalli, chairman and managing director of the company, said in an interview .He further said work will be awarded for the country’s first lignite-to-methanol project worth Rs 4,400 crore by October-end.
