]]> Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated and dedicated a state-of-the-art Linear Accelerator (Radiotherapy Machine) at the Mahamana Pandit Madan Mohan Malaviya Cancer Institute in Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh, as part of a Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative by POWERGRID. Valued at ₹26.42 crore, the advanced radiotherapy equipment is expected to significantly enhance cancer treatment by offering more precise and effective therapy for patients. The inaugural event was attended by Shri Shiv Tapasya Paswan, Independent Director, and Shri Yugesh Kumar Dixit, Executive Director (NR-III), POWERGRID. The installation reflects POWERGRID’s broader CSR commitment in Uttar Pradesh, where it is currently undertaking projects worth approximately ₹240 crore to support healthcare, education, and infrastructure development in the state.
