NEW DELHI. NTPC Limited has signed a Cooperation Agreement with Africa50 to identify, assess and develop power-generation projects and cross-border electricity trading opportunities across Africa. The immediate scope of the partnership is to identify priority projects, assess their technical and commercial feasibility, and explore viable opportunities for implementation and investment in mutually agreed African countries.

Under the agreement, NTPC will contribute its expertise in engineering, project development, construction management and power plant operations, while Africa50 will leverage its project pipeline and relationships with governments and regulators to facilitate project identification, financing and investment structuring.
